About halfway in is so in line with how I have experienced my entire judo "career". 6 dan in randori with a white belt and the beauty of the more experienced just leaving openings for the lower grade to discover and not doing more than a nice uchi-komi to show "here, you need to be more careful." Love it.

Yes, great attitude in Randori, giving plenty of openings and encouragement to junior grades so that they can learn and not be overly defensive working with a higher grade, which will only stunt their development.

It is really nice to see older guys that aren't the seasoned black belts getting into Judo...most go on to the less violent BJJ, because we know that at our age, landing is a bear even with a great ukemi. Enjoy the videos and the info,Sensei, thank you.

Respect how Shintaro leads by example by actively taking breakfalls in randori. Great breakfalls too, btw

Very beautiful for me to see a dojo full with different coloured belts and you pratice with all of them. In my dojo, I'm the only adult yellow belt. The others are brown or black belts. I like them, but it's very different atmosphere, more competitive. USA vs Europe? Nice video and training. A lot of inspiration, thanks! :)

Shintaro, thanks for all the great content. Do you mind if I ask about the dimensions/square footage of your mat area? Im trying to wrap my head around how much room a club actually needs for randori.
@steveevans42992 жыл бұрын
By the looks of it about 4m x 4m (16sq m) per pair - plus 1m safety around - gives space to roam and express yourself a bit

Seeing a black belt doing a kouchi makikomi to a yellow belt is the epitome of cowardice and stupidity. Sorry if I am harsh but that was unnecessary and dangerous.
