Simply Amazing! Tears came to my eyes... At first I thought that the bassist and the pianist were father and son. Their interaction was spot-on and priceless!

john bethell Think about it: how many people on this earth have the kind of talent that Joey does, especially at his age? You can probably count them on one hand, and have a couple of fingers left over. He's a prodigy. Never stop playing, John. Being a musician is a gift, so be grateful for the talent you have.

john bethell That's good, man. I, too, have been playing for almost 50 years, and considered giving it up a few years ago. But I remembered what a dear, departed friend once told me: "We're musicians. We play. This is what we do; it's a way of life. And we don't stop." But just remember: we're only earthlings. People like Joey are from another planet!

john bethell "Use what talents you possess: the woods would be very silent if no birds sang except those that sang best." It makes me happy to see that young people, even very young people, are keeping this amazing music vibrant.

If you're playing Coltrane, listen to the tune and try and copy the vibe. My case is rested on this performance. There is no interactive playing, and no one is listening to each other.
@sandyaruan79588 жыл бұрын
+Craig Sinclair dude have u listen to the 7:40 ? is it not interactive is it?

+Sandy Hofman the bassist is the moving his randomly and hitting none of the correct notes or harmony.
