Thanks for the video, I enjoyed it. But you definitely did not give this bike a fair review. I’ve owned Japanese bikes as well as American bikes. My 2011 buddy 125 is by far my favorite. Best bike I’ve ever owned I can’t believe How cheap it is for such great quality. I don’t even do maintenance on it and it starts from the first time every time.

Do maintenance on it 😂 oil every 2,000miles or 1 year 10w40 oil filter every 4,000miles and air filter when it’s dirty lol

I agree. I just got a 2006 buddy 125 with 12,000 miles for 800 and this bike is unbelievably fast. I owned a vino 125 before and no comparisons can be made. The buddy is like a rocket ship and the handling is unmatched. I rode it for 1 hour on the freeway and it was super stable with insane torque. Hands down, this is the best bike I’ve ever owned

I just would like to know if a six foot tall rider will fit on one. Noone ever mentions taller riders when talking scooters. They only discuss shorter riders.

Just saw a 2006 out for sale today. It looks pretty clean but I think I'll go and see if I can get a test ride tomorrow. I appreciate this video. Really helps to see some things about the scooter.

If it has under 10k it doesn’t need anything really

So you buy a wrecked used bike with a plugged carb and review the quality? Unprofessional! I have an 09 not wrecked and cared for . I love it. It will out run a zuma. Crooked front! Was wrecked!

This would have been a better review after you've services it

If it’s not a sweet used deal don’t get yourself onto a bike with drum brakes it’s not cool 🤦🏻 hooligan and kick from genuine have discs -Drum buddy owner

It has a front disc.

@@charkswitlazers yes and it’s good.. too good let just anyone rip it 😂 drum rear brake isnt usually the end of the world but honestly on the rear drum on these always takes too some adjusting after long rides.. the only bike I’ve had with a worse rear drum was a Yamaha ttr because it let water and mud in so easily and made you feel like you needed new shoes

@@buffering7612 I daily ride a Honda metropolitan with dual drums and they both work well enough for the size of scooter. In fact, that’s my only vehicle. I’ll be taking it on a 16mi commute in about 30min. 3k miles on it and no adjustment needed. Teehee
@buffering7612 Жыл бұрын
@@charkswitlazers it doesn’t go 60mph on half decent suspension over New England “paved” roads though! Most scooters that go 60 also have bigger wheels than a buddy125

How does the Buddy compare with the Honda Metero?
@buffering76123 жыл бұрын
Genuine dealerships aren’t as common if you have one and it’s backed up you might have too change your own oil👌🏻 differences are mostly in taste for example if the genuine buddy isn’t fancy enough for you you can get a genuine buddy kick if that’s not sporty enough for you you can get a genuine hooligan.

But unlike a Honda, if your dealer goes out of business good luck finding another one close. Whereas with that Honda dealer you will be ok because you will be able to find another within a reasonable distance from you.@@buffering7612

Motard..No leg, or hand protection...No good for winter.Looks like a CV carb..Who knows what you will find in the float bowl.If it uses some kind of automatic Choke uh oh. Good project ..keep em coming..Cheers.!

I wouldn’t recommend the 125 unless it’s a daily driver the 170 is fuel injected.. that said my 125 has 8,000miles and it’s only needed a rear tire
