As an avid criminal analysis watcher, this has got to be one of the top episodes I've ever seen. My first of this distributor. I'll be watching many more from this series. Well put together. Great interviews. Asking questions that I as the viewer wanted to know the answer to. The narrative tone and voice was on point. Brilliant. Appreciated from Pittsburgh PA. 👏

I've really enjoyed this series too. Things are explained very thoroughly. I've been addicted to crime shows for several years now and I can't tell you how many hours I've wasted on videos that either repeat the same thing over and over again during the show or are just pathetically thin on relevant educational material
@robinmcinarnay78272 жыл бұрын
“Check this out. Did you guys know that Pittsburgh is in Pennsylvania?” -𝐶ℎ𝑎𝑟𝑙𝑖𝑒 𝐾𝑒𝑙𝑙𝑦 𝑰𝑨𝑺𝑰𝑷 Yes the episodes I've seen are quite impressive; arduous efforts put forth forensically. They perform testing that is nothing short of incredibly tedious- and for each and every case presented! I get that its main focus is forensics but damn, I've never seen any such methods used in American true crime cases, other than fictionally. I guess it's no freaking wonder roughly 60% of our cases are 𝘤𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘥 (a number not reflecting 𝘸𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘧𝘶𝘭 or even convictions at all) and the UK's sitting at a mere 20% of cases unsolved. Seems like we need to take note, step it up, and prioritize our funds or something cos this is just really sad and pathetic.

At the end of this video, a detective said they were able to hold the people responsible for her murder accountable and that justice was served. 😕 A minimum of 20 years is what they call justice? Or the man who was supose to be her friend...the man who set this whole thing in motion just so he didn't have to reply a debt to her was sentenced to 12 years with a minimum of only 6 years before he's eligible for release. That's justice, huh? What about the guys wife who was supose to he her "friend" since they were in high school? You really expect people to believe she didn't know about the plan to get rid of her? Heck yea she knew. Then she lies about when the last time she seen her was. She doesn't call her friend all the time she's supose to be "missing"? Yeah. Both of them knew exactly why she was "missing". It was because her husband had her friend murdered to avoid paying her back the $14,000 he owed her! He should have gotten life in prison, as he was the person who hot someone to murder her. I don't know what the NZ criminal justice system thinks justice is... but a 12 year sentence (and only half of thay needs to be served before he's eligible for release) for a man who had a woman brutally murdered just to avoid paying his debt.... *IS NOT JUSTICE!* It's a big slap in the face of her mother and the rest of the people who love and miss her everyday!! And to make it worse...they were supose to be her *"friends"* .... she obviously thought she could trust them. I'm sure she never imagined they would ever hurt her or her unborn child. They *KNEW* she was pregnant, and even that didn't stop these pieces of human trash from murdering a woman and unborn baby to save $14,000 !!! Disgusting! ! They *ALL* should have been fucking hung!!

After it was decided that the death sentence should be abolished, the court system reverted to a policy of "rehabilitation" and the opportunity for early release after just a few years. It has never made sense to me, as the result has unavoidably been that killers have been released and killed again. Then there is a great uproar about the parole system.

Excellent police investigation, very professional and thorough. There is no honour amongst criminals. The same predatory opportunistic mind that makes a criminal, would make him turn on his fellows. When you deal with a criminal, regarding a lot of money, there is always the possibility that he would rather murder you, than pay you. I wonder why Din , who ordered the kidnapping of Ray, was not charged with accessory to murder. I wonder why Ray didn't see it coming. If someone owes me money, I let it happen only if I trust that person and I have an edge over him.

Wow: I can't take this Commonwealth/New Zealand sentences. Clearly, Dean ordered the young women's kidnapping and murder--that is obvious--and yet he wasn't charged with murder and gets a measly 12-year sentence and could be out in 6? Are you kidding? Outrageous! On its face alone, if you order the kidnapping of somebody and the victims dies at the hands of an associate as a result, you are responsible for the person's death--obviously. Beyond that, we know that the thug/killer sent a text message to Dean after the murder, saying that the job was done. That alone proves that Dean was completely involved the murder. Yet he gets some horrifying light sentence. I seriously can't watch this excellent series anymore. We see these horrendous, grisly murders, then outstanding investigatory work by the police to find the killers---and then the killers get what is effectively a slap on the wrist. What kind of justice for the victim's family is that?
