You also don’t need to play MOTHER to understand Earthbound, once again just adding extra background context for the story. But it’s really cool how all three narratives are loosely tied into each other (MOTHER being the origins of Giegue/Giygas, Earthbound being the defeat of Giygas and the origin of Porky, and Mother 3 being the defeat of Porky and the end of the trilogy)

I remember 6 years ago, I was listening to this in the back seat of a taxi near a very city like area (I don't remember where i was and i don't recall if it was actually even a city) and it was raining and i was pretty far from home so this just suddenly appearing and hearing it for the first time in that moment felt absolutely amazing.. All of them fit their expressions. Duster looks incredibly apathetic so his lack of detail expresses that. Kumatora has the most energy here so she's the most detailed. And Lucas is so terrified that he can see up Kumatora's skirt his eyes were drained from his face from the fear.
