Mother Bear Teaching Cubs to Fish for Salmon (High Def)

These black bears in Alaska are leaning how to fish from their mother. I stalked within 20 yards of them and filmed them for about 30 minutes. They had no idea until the end that I was there. Then things got a little scary!

Alaska is a place that captures the imagination. The novel "Alaska" took me 6 months to complete. This video somehow connects the dots for me ~ a can of salmon & a small jade figurine of a bear with a salmon in its jaw brought back as souvenirs from a male boss on his travels to me. I like to watch animal and wildlife documentaries. This video provides a visual treat.

Many thanks for your lovely video. We have started to have bears coming down from the mountains in Monterrey, Mexico. I came across (in my car) a baby one two weeks ago, It was a chubby black bear, they are getting ready for their hybernation and now they know they can find food in the garbage bins on the back of the various buildings of the university. The problem that many people go jogging in that lovely spot, so now it is getting dangerous, so the security guards started patroling the area.
