The changeling's story is actually quite sad when you think about it. All queen chrysalis wants is to look after and feed her children and it seems she will do anything to do so. Though she is trying to take (extract?) ponies' love she has a reason to do so other than 'she wants power' The video is really good btw, looks like a lot of work went into it :3

OMG I love this song so much! The thing is, I never saw Queen Chrysalis as an antagonist, but more of a determined ruler. Unlike all the other villains, she didn't want to enslave the world or destroy the world, she only wanted to feed her kin, or else they might die of starvation, and the only way to do that was to disguise herself as Princess Cadence and feed of Shining Armour's love until her changeling army was ready and had enough strength to take over Canterlot. So in my opinion, the ponies are the evil ones.
