For anyone who is confused about the end, with the colt in the moon and the phases. If the moon is full, the child is being good. If the child starts to cry, the moon grows smaller. Half full or crest creates a cradle to soothe the child. Then the moon disappears, and grows again, meaning the child is happy again. This song was originally "Hijo de la luna" meaning "Son of the Moon". This is the pony version of that song :3

I really like this, and I would love for there to be a book on this! For the book to follow cannon-ish ways or not I would still read it! Imagine reading Luna growing up and raising a foal, either secretly or not. Maybe the foal's personality also changed as the moon's phases do and Luna (the only one able to) casts a different spell each moon phase for him to behave "normally". Also instead of being awake throughout the day he's awake throughout the night only. Also imagine this mixing with "Children of The Night". By the way, lovely animation. I loved how Luna looked.

[Multiple years late] Wow. Everyone's hating on the dad here, and rightfully so, but can I point something out? "Stallion unconscious by his anger..." He didn't have control over his actions, he pretty much didn't do anything, something else did. Also, we never see what any of their parents or general relatives look like, so there's a small chance the colt was like that because of genetics or albinism. In the time this (probably) takes place, not much was known about genetics, and it was assumed that every baby would basically look like a combination of their parents and/or parents' parents
