This sidechain sounds great, thanks for the tutorial! Why does the kick need to be panned left? Also, I tried doing this with the stereo out of the Nanocompressor to the first two channels of my mixer and then assignable out 2 from the MPC to the third channel. For some reason, I can hear everything on my monitors, but when I record a video with my phone (using USB audio out from mixer directly into phone), I can't hear the kick. The sidechain is still present though. Any idea why this is?

The kick sits in channel 12 in the mixer which is a stereo track. 1 being a separate channel when panned left and 2 being a separate channel panned right. The kick needs to be separate from the rest of the drums for the sidechain effect to work properly. And about the phone recording issue. Make sure the cable you’re using is a stereo signal going into your phone. If this doesn’t work I’m sorry to say I don’t know the problem. I use OBS to record videos. It’s free and works just fine. @@Swellthekid Thanks for the quick response bro! Yeah, that makes sense. I learned that my Soundcraft mixer outputs each channel as a mono L/R pair over USB, so I may have to try that software you suggested. Last question - where did you get the SP-1200 skin? It looks dope!
