I've thought of doing this before too. Chopping a sample in a DAW and making an MPC program out of it. But I felt like it was kind of a waste since you can chop samples on an MPC or I could just finish making the beat in the DAW. How would you say this method affects your overall work flow/creativity?

Thanks for your comment Schembri52! The reasoning behind this video was to use Serato Samples new 2.0 update which includes stem separation. Every sample used was extracted from a full composition to make a new one. The work flow does take a little more time but if you’re trying to utilize stem separation and also have that MPC work flow. It’s worth it.

Oh that's honestly a good idea. Lately it seems like everyone is getting stem separation haha. I definitely enjoyed your video. Sometimes I get in my head about trying different techniques and just end up never doing them and just sticking to chopping samples the regular way on the MPC. Watching this video makes me wanna try stem separation and throw it all in the MPC. @@Swellthekid

@@Swellthekid Bro that would be crazy if they added stem separation to the newer MPC's. It'll most likely be a paid plugin like most of their newer ones. But depending on how well it works I might spend a few pennies on it haha. But keep up the good work! I'm definitely going to try stem separation and see how I like it with my work flow.
