I don't think he cares about fangames. Mother Cognitive Dissonance has been out for years and as far as I know, Itoi didn't took it down. But then again, this is a remake, not a completly different game with a different story.

not quite, MOTHER is co-owned 50/50 by itoi and nintendo. mother 4 rebranded to oddity during a wave of nintendo taking down fan projects in 2017, and if the company starts up again (as it has in the past) it's not out of character for them to take encore down

1:40:34 Oh God, upon hearing the opening, my fight or flight instincts kicked in. This has the vibe of badass boss music and yet it's used on normal enemies. Even though there isn't a choir, it FEELS like there could be. And the alarm before the fight ended... oh sweet mother of PORK! Dude the game is pretty rockin, but the soundtrack... it makes me tear with joy. I really hope they finish this, and maybe upload the OST, it's so amazing!

Hey! I have a recommendation for your looping music! You should wrap the tail of your song to the beginning of the song when it loops. The effects and such of the instruments seem to cut abrubtly, but if you export your song, cut in the usual place and put the cut remaining tail back at the beginning it will make a more convincing loop! I hope that all makes sense :) Great work btw! This is full of life and exciting to see :))

I think it would be be better though if America was changed to Eagleland to better fit with Earthbound. Also maybe change 1988 to 198X due to that retcon in the description of Earthbound Beginnings.

It got rebalanced making enemies tougher and smarter, Starman's Jr is the best example, he has way more HP and he can summon enemies. Now the stat boosting PSI are functional. It might not seem much but the rebalancing makes the game incredibly more enjoyable.

Porting to the 3ds is surely outside the scope of their fan project. If it happens it would likely be done by another party and I can't see that happening anytime soon if at all. You are better off playing it on PC rather than holding out hope for some homebrewed 3DS port.

Nintendo has allowed Mother fan content to exist for decades now with no issue. It's not a premier franchise for them and benefits them in no way to target the community.
