people can have different struggles. for example my mom was hospitalized in iccu and it took her months to be stable enough but then still can’t go back home so with my father they temporarily moved to my aunt’s after she’s discharged from hospital for few more months. their home was abandoned quite a long time and because my father is also still recovering from 2nd stroke attack, he only could mop the floor but couldn’t work the garden. he might be able to pay someone to do it, but with the expensive on going check ups and home recovery, it wasn’t possible for him at all that time. fortunately some of his former students who are now working well, paid someone to clean and cut my parents’ yard and garden. that’s just one example and there are so many things happening with people which we may not experienced yet.

It's not that easy.......cost of storing furniture, hoping you rent to someone who won't destroy everything. What I think is sad is that if the neighbors took turns and cut the grass they would in essence helping themselves too.

The fact the neighbour across the street knew some details you would have thought a few decent neighbours could have kept the front mowed for the poor woman .
