Perfect dimensions. Beautiful watch. I'm glad watch makers are getting back to smaller sized watches. I think they look more balanced versus looking like giant wrist jewelry. Nice review as always. Looks good on your wrist....not obnoxious Invicta big.

I rarely wear divers because of the thickness, but Venesianico has done a good job with an off the shelf movement. Sold my R. Sub because of the bulk. More brands should follow this company's lead.

how are you, Ivan? Haven't seen you for a long time. Either there were a lot of sick people in your hospital or losing some interest in your hobby? ha ha. Anyway, I have never owned a tungsten or even MOP watch in my life. They never really spoke to me on a personal level. However, this one is very nice to look at. Probably too dressy for a diver (considering how thin this is due to Miyota movement), but it certainly is a nice watch. Maybe, just maybe, they wanted us to use it as a dressy-diver watch? because it used a butterfly clasp which I am not a fan of, especially on a diver watch. (And the bracelet & clasp really look generic, off some Chinese factory shelf. I am a definitely bracelet & clasp man, so....i guess it is not for me) For around $700 USD price tag, with the Miyota movement which is a lot lower price than SW200 (considering Tisell is using the same movement for their dive watches around $280 retail price), it is bit on the steep price tag side, but it seems like they have done a nice job, aesthetically. EXCEPT having push-pin bracelet & common un-desirable butterfly clasp. I think that they should have a "on the fly adjustment" clasp for the watch which almost everyone is going with nowadays. And I believe the screw links should be a standard at that price range. By the way, it DOES LOOK VERY GOOD on your wrist! You should keep it for yourself!
@PerthWAtch11 ай бұрын
Thanks Alex! Well, neither of those really... I certainly am not losing interest, am fascinated as ever with the world of horology! As alluded to earlier, life gets busy and truth be told, my house build is picking pace rather more these months and I am having to "do homework" most nights on looking through all the relevant details. I think the clasp here is certainly nothing special but I did feel the bracelet is not so generic, certainly not something I've seen before, with those curves for example. But yes, some form of micro-adjust or on-the-fly adjustable clasp is called for, and screw links is also an expectation for many of us at this types of prices!

I like the overall design and the slimness, the tungsten bezel really works well but not so keen on the mother of pearl, the no date (they could slip one in at 6 and it would work fine), the screw on back and the actual back design would put me off. A bit pricy too
@PerthWAtch11 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comments Phil - I do feel that the ask is a bit steep. And yeah, the case back design could and should be better.

Hello and thanks for this vid. The dial of this Venezianico is really beautiful, as oftenly with this brand. But, as with Baltic, Christopher Ward or Traska watches for example, even if I really like their watches, I do not feel any "coup de coeur" with. And, to buy a watch, from a microbrand or from a bigger one, I need this kind of feeling.
@PerthWAtch11 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment - I get what you mean. Have there been any micro brand pieces which tempted you to pull the trigger on a purchase?
@Christophe-k8s11 ай бұрын
@@PerthWAtch Yes! The first microbrands watch I got was a Dan Henry, a diver, the "1970". I still have it and enjoy to wear it. And the very one is a dress one, an "Damascus", the one created by Wise to celebrate their 15th anniversary. Perhaps have you heard about these brands/watches ?

130 grams? Can't be a lot of Tungsten then! It sure is a pretty look with that polish. I have a tungstencarbine ring that I don't wear ATM (went titanium), the former is really chunky for its size. The titanium one is barely there, although surely less dense metals exist.

G’day Ivan. I would never have looked at this watch (or brand really) unless I’d seen your review. It’s a nice piece and looks to be really well made. Almost like a budget Monta watch haha (not that it’s cheap). It certainly looks good. Cheers 👍

It’s a beautiful watch in a great size. I like the no-date and the thinness. Unfortunately the asking price is way too much for a Miyota 9039. The screws to hold the caseback in (should be screw-down) and the butterfly clasp are deal breakers. Hope they do more variants at a cheaper price.

Do you know what a "straight copy" means? Most dive watches tend to have some element in common (IE a rotating bezel) but, apart from those, they are as different as they can be.
