I think something's off with the family and that they probably know what happened to Summer, but to play Devil's advocate, some people go to pieces with grief or extreme stress, and get very emotional, while others just mentally shut it off because they can't function if they don't. They go on autopilot to get through it and do what needs to be done, then freak out later or in private or when a camera's not being shoved in their face. It took me months to even cry when my close friend went missing and was later found dead (suicide). The whole time we were looking for him, I knew deep down it wasn't going to be a good result, but I was pretty outwardly unemotional and even capable of laughing and joking. Even afterward for a while, I looked and acted fine. It's just what some peoples' brains do to protect them during stress like that. A few months later, without warning, it all hit me at once and I freaked out for a while.

Mom said Summer washed her hands, got candy from gma, she took her to the house walked her directly inside to the kitchen where here brothers were watching t.v. (downstairs) told them to watch her. Mom goes back outside and in two minutes goes back into the house UPSTAIRS where the brothers are. Asks them where's Summer? They say DOWNSTAIRS playing.... all that happened in two minutes? All of the kids went upstairs then Summer turns around and goes downstairs by herself and her brothers now have no idea where she is...

Depending on a family's lifestyle, family or friends might be seen so often that the dogs don't bark at them, because they are familiar with the person coming and going. But statistically, the parents really need to be ruled out, because they often attempt to cover up the death of a child with lies.

For one, she seems to have cognitive delays or even be socially stunted. Also, it looks to me like she is sedated which I for one would have to be I would not function and the whole world would be saying horrible things about me because I have a drug addiction past.. I've had an actual neglect charge from my son outside alone also. But I would never murder my kid, even when I was in active addiction and lived in squalor, both of which I have left behind. I'm now and have been for the past 6 years an excellent mom to my 9and 11 year old. I was also raised by an addict and put into horrible situations that I won't go into detail of but I still wasn't murdered by my mom.

The mother had to establish a later point of disappearance to gain her own innocence in the eyes of her own children. Not if she's been trafficked...taken out of state. And the police can't call in the FBI to go out of state until they have proof of an abduction. That's why they have been all over the parents home, property and vehicles with a fine toothed comb. It's the elimination process. Start with the closest first then work their way out. There was a red pickup seen near the house...now they're calling off searches. They know something but won't tell because too much social media crap talk going that will hinder the case if they say anything else.

These “parents” know what happened to their child. After an extensive search like this only to turn up absolutely nothing, it’s very obvious that they had something to do with her going missing. The police are watching everything they do and say. The problem with people like this is that they’re more used to lying than being honest. They need to remove those boys from the home and put them in separate foster care homes. I guarantee they will start talking. And charge Candus with giving alcohol to a minor.
