You may want to know what the harassment laws are in Tennessee. You also may want to be aware that you can go to jail for harassment or slander. Typically, harassment is a Class A misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail and fines up to $2,500. If, however, you were previously convicted of an offense and the harassing behavior is against the same victim, the charge is elevated to a Class E felony which is punishable by 1-6 years in prison. Any statement made as defamatory or slanderous in the state of Tennessee is a crime. The perceived anonymity of the online world has led some people to make vile and untruthful statements about others, which can result in a defamation lawsuit. And please don't think that your comments made online cannot be traced back to you, because they can. Authorities can find out who you are by tracing your exact location by your computer's IP address or if you're using a cellular device, they can ping your exact location through your phone's service provider. Defamation exists when a person’s reputation has been harmed and is defined as the making of false statements, either oral or written, about another person. There are two types of defamation: libel and slander. Libel covers any form of defamation that is written. This includes text messages or comments posted online like; Facebook posts or KZbin comments. Slander is almost exactly like libel except that it covers those defamatory statements that are spoken rather than written.

@justapleb31513 жыл бұрын
Parents are looking very guilty. The use of “past tense” to describe someone is an expression of an already known loss. I’d bet a moon pie that a family member is going to be found guilty at a future trial. They probably should be looking around the lakes / waterways / ponds that “Summer loved to play in” for her body. Red flags 🚩 everywhere!

People need to stop expecting people to act the way they think they should act. I think they know something but u can't go off behavior in front of the media. My daughter went missing about 5 years ago. I completely shut down. I showed zero emotions. I felt numb and detached from my body. I couldn't cope to the point my brain shut down and I went completely blank. I sat for hours not moving, not crying, not saying a word. My husband had go handle everything bc I couldn't function. You have no clue how you would react if your child went missing. You can claim you do but you don't. You don't know how your brain will react to that. When u feel too much the brain shuts down to protect u. It's a very common thing to happen. I didnt cry until after my daughter was found. I couldn't cry. My family kept the media away from me but if they had taped me everyone would've declared I had done something bc I was so calm and not showing emotions. People wouldn't have been able to see what was really happening inside my head. I felt terror to the point my brain went into self preservation mode. Honestly, I probably would've looked a lot like her if someone had been able to get me to do an interview. I wouldve looked drugged up and emotionless. Stop expecting people to react the way you THINK you would react. You have no clue what you'll do until you've been there. You might be a mess of emotions but you might go totally blank like I did. Emotions don't work the way you want them to and a parents public reactions say nothing of guilt or innocence. Look at how many parents have sobbed for the cameras only to find out they are guilty. Just about all of the guilty ones show the range of emotions the public demands. You cant assume guilt or innocence based on that and the social media detectives are ridiculous for thinking you can. Only goes to prove you have no idea what you're talking about and you're not experts. You're just idiots on social media that are so confident in your own intelligence that you don't know how dumb you are. There have been many innocent people that have had their lives ruined bc strangers on social media think they know more than they do and have falsely accused people of stuff they haven't done. You'd think people would've learned by now but they haven't. All of u will be harping on innocent people being in prison and cops falsely accusing while you're the first ones to accuse people based off little or no evidence. Theres people here declaring they know for a fact that the parents did it. I think they did but its impossible for anyone here to know for a fact. Theres people listing off stuff they think the cops should be searching on thr property. You people really think they haven't done that? I saw a lady demanding that she get to see pics of the flowers they were working on as if she's entitled to evidence. The public is not entitled to see any evidence and the cops don't have to show it to you. They don't have to give any info on the case at all. They don't owe us anything. I can't count how many times over many cases that people declare the cops are messing up the investigation bc of evidence not being shared. People think that if they don't see the cops doing something or the cops don't tell them then it didn't happen. This isnt a TV show being made after the fact. The cops aren't going to sit down with dateline and go over all of the evidence for u while the case is still going. The rare event you see cops telling all is often the times you see a messed up case bc they are prioritizing keeping the public happy over the case and victim. Look at the Casey Anthony case. Shes walking free bc the DA prioritized keeping the public happy. He over charged her and couldn't prove his case bc they public would be mad if he didn't charge her as a high as he could. Well now she's free and that's why. If he had charged her right she would still be in prison. Everyone needs to stop. Stop complaining when things take longer than u think they should. In Samuel's case people are raising hell bc the DA hasn't done her murder charge yet. They are declaring its taking too long. They don't even have the full autopsy yet. It would be irresponsible for the DA to do charges now. People are stupid tho and don't know how things work. They just want the cops and DA to do what they want instead of following the process. In every case people declare that the DA is taking too long to go to trial. It's takes years to properly do a case. People don't care tho and still expect the DA to follow the time line they want. When the DA rushes the case to make them happy and loses they'll be mad. Well stop demanding the DA do what u want. People that have zero experience with cases need to stop thinking they know how thing should and do work bc they spend a lot of time watching crime shows and documentaries. Those shows are made years after the fact and compress things a lot. People demand that the DA take these people to trial in a couple months. If they did that we wouldn't have any killers in prison. It takes longer than that to even look at all the evidence. Yall need to stop damaging cases. Stop calling tip lines for something you read on Facebook. If you see it on Facebook then the cops knew long before u did. Stop telling cops how and where to search. They know better than u. They have real experts organizing things. Stop demanding that they give u evidence. You have no right to the evidence and it would be irresponsible to give it to u. You have no need for the evidence. You're just nosy. Stop demanding that everyone behaves the way you think they should. Emotions don't work based on your orders. Google reading doesn't make you educated or an expert. Youre not going to solve cases digging around FB. And for the love of God, stop contacting people involved in the case. Stop calling the investigators asking for info, stop messaging the friends, and stop trying to contact the family. Just stop. I know it makes you feel super special but you're a problem. Stop trying to get your 5 mins in the FB groups at the expense of real cases. This isnt your lane. Youre not going to catch a killer from your couch. If you actually cared as much as you claimed to then you would be out searching. You Google experts never do tho. You never search or help with donations. You all just sit on your couch pretending you're doing something when in reality you're a constant problem for investigators to have to deal with. The cops even have said on camera, on multiple occasions, to stop but you won't. I've seen cops telling you people you're hurting the case but you won't listen. You dont care if you hurt the case bc you'll just blame them for any damage you do. Once these people are found and things are done you all disappear to move onto the next case for you to harass. You dont actually care like you say you do and it shows.

Ashley Galyean Firstly, I'm going to lean towards, "Everyone that is commenting, does, in fact care, or they wouldn't be bouncing ideas around and sharing their opinions! Caring about what has happened to Summer is the whole root cause for their opinions, even if you don't like them! Your description of yourself during your tragic experience sounds and looks nothing like what we have seen since this started & up to the present! You have described 'shock'. If you believe that is similar to what Summer's mother has displayed, then you need to stop projecting your character, feelings & tragic event upon Summer's mother and her behavior. This isn't about you. It is about her. Her displayed behavior today is mirrored in most of her videos and photos before Summer's disappearance! No one is 'interfering with the police'! And everyone is entitled to type what they think! I think you need to pull yourself out of your triggered emotional response & realize that this isn't about you, the circumstances are different. You were in shock, you were not being deceptive & lying & you didn't make statements that revealed your inconsistency in providing every detail to help others help you find your missing child! You were in shock, so your husband did these things. Well this husband's stories are just as inconsistent as hers! You're comparing yourself to others who are void of your credibility. Just stop. And we enjoy being armchair detectives, and a huge number of us donate more than an opinion to these cases because we want the victims found and we do care! But we also know b.s. when we see these monsters trying to send everyone in all directions away from themselves because they acted nefariously & they want to escape the consequences! We call it as we see it, we call it early if we see it. Evil happens when good people sit back and allow it and say nothing & are complicit. The internet is a platform where we can participate and discern.You're emotionally over reacting because of how you 'feel' from your own tragedy. This isn't you & it is not applicable to what happened with your child. Summer is dead!

@ExposingMiLabs Let's ask ourselves, for example, what the parents have told us their 3 boys were doing in the house on the day Summer went 'missing'. First - dad says "her brothers were in the house on the Internet, of course, when Summer went into the house". Later he changed it to "watching KZbin...", then he changed it again to "watching TV" then mom says the boys were "in the kitchen watching TV". It sounds to me like neither parent knew WHAT THEIR BOYS WERE DOING THAT AFTERNOON. Also, 'the Internet & KZbin" were dropped because IMO their Internet history can be subjected to investigation by LE as evidence. This is just ONE DISCREPANCY in the parents' "versions" of the supposed day & time that SUMMER WELLS went 'missing'.

@kerrypenn3 жыл бұрын
The cops should interview the boys individually to determine if their stories match. They were the last people to see her alive. Mom says that Summer went down into the playroom. In another interview with just dad and the son, he says she went down into the basement. Also, the son is looking at the ground throughout the whole interview. Maybe the parents are covering something up for the boys. I don't believe a stranger snatched her. It's too remote and a family member would have seen something. The cops need to look closer to home. Was the house even searched? Any clues that are in the house will be long gone if these hick cops wait much longer. Hope to goodness she's found real soon.
