*So two correctionsthat people brought to our attention.* 1) The child entered the store in nothing but diapers, the city they are in is very cold at that moment (19* farhenheit or -8 celcius). An employee saw the child shivering and began recording and as more people told her to put clothes on the shivering kid she put on that thin coat on the kid but since it didnt fit well or covered him he continued shivering. Thats when other good samaritans bought the kid some clothes. 2) The walmart employee was fired for filming this incident. UNFKINBELIEVABLE

Walmart did NOTHING and corporate keeps hanging up. The local manager was furious about it, but if she does anything she’ll get fired for following the laws. That company thinks they’re untouchable. Being totally fine with strangers touching you and not discriminating between your mom and a stranger is a sign of not being solidly attached to a primary caregiver. I got an adopted little sister that we adopted from a poor orphanage in Nigeria (before anyone asks we're all Nigerian, my parents never had a daughter ) when she first came into our home, I was surprised how calm she was, she'd never cry unless we missed her meal time which was precise on the dot. After a couple days, I realized that in her case it wasn't neglect per say, it's just that the orphanage was so full of kids and understaffed that the babies would only be fed and cared to at precise times, 3 times a day. She had never had someone react directly to her when she expressed any signs of discomfort (crying) so she never did, it wasn't because she was calm. After a few mounths with all of that had gon away. So that child's apathy really reminded me of my sister and nearlly broke my heart. It's apathy born from a deep form of neglect. I pray he got in a better situation. Sorry for the long tirade.

Just my experience from my nearly 3 years in foster care as a teenager, in rural Kentucky they have alot of elderly foster parents that get into fostering for the money and most of the time they used us for labor, farm work, yard work, etc. With the stipulation that if you DIDNT comply, youd be moved farther from your original home, school, friends, etc. into the backwoods and youd never see your friends/ family as often, if ever. Or theyd threaten to throw you in a group home where they KNOW the kids are abused. Needless to say, they emancipated me at 17 and put me on the street. Here I am at 32 now, in a new world that I've watched quickly change over the years and all I can say is, I wish I had the recording technology of today, back then. People are so surprised that stuff like this happens, not knowing how truly frequent it is but how rarely its ever called it out. And the few that did were told to, "Mind their business." Well, sometimes, not minding your business can save a childs life. Props to the woman that called the cops knowing the stigma that comes with that in her case. People are just lost. Ignorant.

When I was younger a church member mentally and physically abused her 8-year-old son and everyone knew. The way she unabashedly spoke of her treatment of him was always met with silence and I doubt anyone even scolded her for it. Claiming that adults can do to them whatever they want, they should just be grateful for being brought into this world. Claiming their life means absolutely nothing if it causes any sort of imposition to the mother. This legal system was written by adults, but not "for the children". So many aspects harm infants, chiIdren and teenagers. Here's a messed up example: if a chiId or teen has a se×ual encounter with someone, and mutually agrees to it (I'd use cønsent but technically that's a legal term), they generally won't be traumatised, as is the case with adults on adults. However, through societal programming and beliefs, they will have it drilled into them that they have been abūsed. They will keep being told this until they're traumatised and actually believe it (because this good thing is now bad, so everything's on its head), and then they can be put through the system, where many psychiatrists and pharmacists can make money from this. And there's so much programming in the modern world that people believe "chiIdren can't cønsent" is some kind of biological truth. But actually, it's about the same as "breakfast is the most important meal of the day".

This is a representation of this mother's priorities, her lack of care, thought processes (or lack thereof), her narcissism, cruelty, lack of empathy, and her unadulterated failure as a mother. You sacrifice everything for your children. Not enough food for everyone to eat? Then you go hungry so your kids can eat. Insufficient money for clothes? Then you wear goodwill so everyone has clothes. No money for heat? Then, the kids get the blankets. The fact she so clearly habitually places her own needs in front of the needs of her children, means she is an unfit mother, who does not deserve the privilege of being a mother, and that privilege should be removed from her. @@ExuberantTarot I get that cps can put kids in more dangerous situations, but that's really with older children, but that's more of a bag of worms where the parent takes care of the kid, but doesn't really know what to do with them because they were too much of a bad role model to be around a mini-me. Adoption agencies are a lot more stringent when it comes to babies that age who would bond easily with a new parent. Also, being molested is unironically better than being in this woman's care. Babies die when they're in the cold without a jacket. This kid may not make it on the way home. My mom worked as a child advocate who works with cps and you'd be suprised how many times they show up to try to help out the "surviving" children. Way more than what gets on the news. Frankly, I think the problem with cps is that there really just aren't enough workers so each worker has like 20 cases going at a time who all need therapy and just a whole slew of legal problems. Just one case with 2 grade school age siblings involved 1. dealing with the drug-addicted mother, 2. fighting off the grandmother 3. sewing the grandfather for molestation 4. trying to reach one of the baby dads for child support who was a pimp and denied being the dad but ended up getting run over by a car by his new gf in a mall parking lot and his family not wanting to do a dna test on his remains. This was an easy case too, where the kid was willing to work with authorities and live life on the straight and narrow. Like, none of these kids are in a simple situation, and multiplying that x20 is hard for one person.

When people say “you don’t have kids, how are you judging people that are parents, I always say: I don’t drive a bus either, but if the bus driver smells like booze, is missing stops, and hitting pedestrians I can still tell he is doing a bad job. This lady is literally the parent version of that bus driver.

I get so sick of that "if you don't have kids then you can't talk" type mentality. You don't have to be actively raising a child in order to understand things like basic decency, empathy, foresight, patience, fundamental communication skills, etc. Sometimes people just want to make excuses instead of accepting the reality that they need to improve.

The amount of people on Twitter and TikTok defending her was heartbreaking bruh. Just because she’s a black woman, you’re not allowed to criticize her. Doesn’t matter if she’s harming a child or not.

As a black woman and a mother of a 3 year old son trust me I'm not one of those people I'm completely disgusted!!!! And anybody defending her are probably just as psychotic as she is!! there is absolutely NO reason at any time should a child be out in public with just a diaper on, no matter what the weather is!!!!

First TWO seconds into the video and you can clearly see the child visibly shivering! I saw this video being covered a couple days ago and the wildest part is there was STILL people on the comments section trying to defend the poor excuse of a “mother” and try to put down the poor Walmart employee that was brave enough to film and call her out and ended up being fired! Mind you this wasn’t in some 80 degree Miami weather this was literally in a 20 degree state up north! Just for some context

The fact that the kid is emoting so little makes me wonder what other horrors she has done to the child. A child who is "well-behaved" in that situation isnt doing so out of manners but out of fear of the parent

It was a bubble coat but what pissed me off more was she said something along the lines of the baby was fighting getting clothes put on but allowed a stranger to dress him. She left her 2 younger at home alone for this trip and they said she had already lost custody of 1 more. As a mother, this is triggering! Now she's out and asking for money "for gas to see her kids"!

So when we see calm kids like this, we often times associate it with them just being, “well behaved”. Well when kids aren’t acting like kids, it’s honestly a cause for concern. Some kids really are just chill and they’re fine, but a lot of the times it’s due to abuse and their first thought is always to just keep it cool or else my abuser will abuse me again. That kid is for sure calm and, “well behaved”, out of fear. I hope that kid gets the type of love he deserves. Every kid deserves a parent, but not every parent deserves a kid.
