I can't believe you guys don't like Byakuya. Actually I can totally understand why you wouldn't like Byakuya, but by the end of the game, I couldn't help but like him. He's surely an ass, absolutely. However, he's a competent ass. He's got his aloof, caustic personality, but he's got a heart of silver. He just oozes class, and just wants to do the right thing, right away. Probably the best character in DR1 besides Chihiro.

This school environment is not welcome in a school environment! But seriously, Ishimaru and fugusaki were the ONLY ones I cared about when they died. Maizono was your average "in love with the protagonist" character. Junko (not actually her) had a grand total of 5 MINUTES of screentime. The third who died was in the same case as "junko". Oowada was the " everything gets solved with violence " guy. Yamada was "meh". Celes was pretty bland, and sakura is bland too. But hey, that's my opinion.
