Mother knew how to drive a song. Write my name above is a prime example. My favorite song is I'll never turn back no more. Rest in God Mother.

Always loved her worship. She knew how and when to drive a song. I was not aware of her passing. Just decided to listen to some Derrick Starks music and started researching to find more of her music. Rest In Him Mother.

Rest In Peace Mother Rimson-Brown. I always loved to hear her sing on the recordings of the Southwest Michigan State Choir with Dr. Mattie Moss Clark.

Mother Rose was anointed with a singing voice, as you all well know. The 'Songbird Of Michigan', I am proud to say was my cousin🥰. I miss calling her every once in a while. We would, just for a few moments, she would ball me out about being so distant from the family and then we would laugh as I would bring her up to speed on where I was and why I was there. She is missed from being in her earthly body, but, left the world with sanctified singing, teaching and her cakes. . . Hello In Heaven Cousin Rose.🌹🌹

I am just heart broken, just finding out that Sister Rose had passed away. I knew her for many years when she lived in Jackson. Many times I drove her to her concert or singing engagements. I shall miss her beautiful voice and laughter. May her sweet spirit continue to Rest in Paradise with Jesus.

Thank you Mr. West for posting this.. I'm in tears for my cousin Rose but I know for sure that she loved the Lord. I remember as a kid she always sat me on the piano stole as she played for service. she would pop my hand when I touched a key.

Thank you so much!! I call her one of the "unsung." Even now, I think she is not being celebrated enough. However, she made things clear in this interview that will live forever -- it's all about glorifying GOD!!

She's right about what she said about popular gospel songs shouldn't be sung in church just because it's popular, I remember a song in the 60s when I was a young teen "Humble me O Lord..." it was contemporary but not scriptural. You don't ask the Lord to humble you because the Bible already tells us in 1 Peter 5:6 "Humble yourselves, therefore under the mighty hand of God, that He may lift you up in due time" If God has to humble you, you're not gonna like it.
