Thanks for the nice chat. It is always good to hear some wisdom. Life is always changing. I used to compare myself with others (it is hard not to) but at 67 I have learned not to. I love that saying "I wish I had known at 20 what I know at 67" . And then when I am 80 I will be saying "I wish I knew at 67 what I know at 80" - Haha

I think you guys do an excellent job of showing some of your struggles without dwelling on them or dragging your family/kids through the mud. I feel like you respect your kids and those who want to be on camera can be and those who don't want to aren't forced to be on camera. So many things you do well on this channel.

Wise wisdom that you share the happy times but also recognise the hard work in life, many people only want the easy, but climbing up the mountain the hard way everyone learns so much and makes children and parents better complete people for life 😊🤗

I've been watching for quite sometime and have never commented. Your family brings me so much joy. I have no kids and didn't grow up in a environment as beautiful yours, watching your family brings me comfort. As a child who was taken in years ago by her teacher, thank you for being the compassionate and loving people you are. I appreciate the small bits of your lives you share with us and look forward to each vlog. Many blessings -B from Nova Scotia Canada.

Thanks for sharing about the hard stuff too. When im struggling, I do wonder if im the only one having parenting challenges. If it's easier for other people to get the kids out the door without shouting and rushing. Even if you're not showing the hard times, I really appreciate you talking about it. I get inspired by your family's joy and fun.

I think the chat at the end was refreshing. I can imagine that having 9 kids leads to lots of struggles as a parent. Adoption, especially older international kids , must bring with it lots of unique challenges. I would guess that attachment takes time and you need to respect their privacy with that.

Lovely video and on point conversation. When I was in my mid-20s, a friend of mine had an older sister - older by about 12-15 years. I asked her whether she felt that as she got older, she got better at dealing with the problems of life (I was a bit overwhelmed at the time). She said that yes, she got better at dealing with problems, but in her experience, as she got older, the problems she dealt with became more and more complex and challenging. It wasn't reassuring and made me nervous. But she was right. And I've survived to see what might be coming down the pike as I age. And remembering her words reminds me to rest when I can!!

Just wanted to add. Loved your message. My husband’s career has required us to move a lot. Our kids and grand babies are all live states away from us. I spend my holidays depressed that they aren’t all with us. I look at social media and all I see is perfect family love. Don’t get me wrong. I love seeing that. But is it always perfect? Probably not. I have to remind myself that my love for my family IS perfect. Even though every day isn’t.

Bahahaha, I love you guys. I'm laughing out loud so hard. Crazy kids. I was secretly hoping the gum would work too, it's ok. 😉😂 And THANK YOU for the real talk. I think you do a good job of being your real selves, but once in awhile I will compare. Recently, for example how positive and happy you are to have your kids in your hair when I'm feeling a constant need to pull out my hair and send my kids to their room. 🤷🏼♀️ If I was renovating an RV, or painting anything for that matter, I'd totally be telling them to GO! I'm trying though, I'm trying.
