A mother has no room to talk to her friend about having children when she treats one of her own very terribly. In general, treat your kids with kindness and respect as one day they can turn on you and furthermore resent you as the time and/or years go by. Everyone deserves respect, even the kids.

My mom did she treat me horrible she would lock me in the basement with no food I would not outside because I a little bit of learning disability but she just wanted the money she would show me in the basement and I would cry for food and she wouldn't give a "" I was money to her now I live on my own and I pay my bills 😊

Yeah, I don't believe a mother who could be that hostile to her own child (and presumably has been so for some time) would change her tune that fast just because one person tells them off one time. Plus, I feel like it says something that it took her friend revealing that she lost a child for her to suddenly get all "remorseful."
