awwww, i LOOOOOOVED this video ladies! It made me realise that 1) I miss Sheila so so so much on these KZbin streets, my word! 2) I think I saw a side of Ijeoma that i didnt know in this video - can't exactly put my finger on it but i love it and 3) Shiki is honestly such a girl's girl, one of my fave girls in Kenyan KZbin. Just turned 25 a week ago and I know I am nowhere near being a mother but I loved this, it was equally insightful and frightening lol.

I clicked on this because a I'm going through it. I have a 5 year old and a 2 month old and am pretty sure that whilst I'm so happy and feel blessed to have them I may have 'baby blues'. It's been overwhelming for me being an M2 (mother of two) and it feels like there's not a lot of people who are willing to listen to the struggles.

But why are they sounding so White American though? Give thanks for the girl by the name of Shikk to the left who was so well spoken ,authentic and proud in her entire being . If I was young and looking forward to an African making me proud it would not be the other two, especially ijeoma . Whoosh annoying white accent .

@@Abebo21 Do you realize she is Nigerian born per her ,it means her formidable years began in Nigeria. There's no excuse to be sounding like a nasal wanna be white chick who was raised by white ppl . Many African Americans born in the country would agree with this greatly. This suppression of self/ tone/ tongue is a global problem Eurocentric educated Blacks are having . Acquiring a White given education should not eradicate your African sound / accent or tone. We can speak English eloquently and not be sounding like a nasal / I lost myself because I am programmed /Educated by white ppl ,do you understand ? This is the global issue and a facet of colonialism that we are facing . No excuse . Be authentic African educated men and women .

I really enjoyed listening to this conversation, it was also very educative. loved the different personalities 🥰 and the compassion you guys showedon here. I’m also wondering, is it really worth it not to know your kids for the sake of hustle? - I understand it’s for them but I also notice a lot of current teens and young adults have gone through mental problems, clinical depression and suicide sadly even due to the lack of a proper family structure, not knowing their parents or being friends with them. I think a lot of things which could come from home such a security of love, belonging, affirmation on identity, social & work skills and friendship can and have lacked on a huge level and this has gone on to really affect children. _ I think also as you & Sheila said the hustle is for them and that’s a love language in itself. I think it’s also an encouragement we can try set boundaries with work so that our kids don’t think, “oh mum loves to work more than she loves to hang out with me,” plus also we can get the opportunity to know our kids and raise them well and confident.

@linetkamau6583 жыл бұрын
Having a live-in or day bug is more of a lifestyle/convenience choice in Kenya.The salaries range from $100-$150 per month,quite affordable compared to developed counties .
@Tmaria-wn3hc3 жыл бұрын
honestly sometimes it depends on your income .Some pay 60 dollars per month for a nanny some pay 100 to 150 dollars per month like the comment states above.

@Ijeoma.......Did you say the hospital bill for Kenya was cheap? or affordable. Please mention good affordable clinic's in Kenya. I find them soooo expensive. I'm a Kenyan who lives in the US. The US has so many programs if you do your research. Most people I know paid $0 for child birth. Medicare....esp during the pandemic. But great topic.......Love seeing naija n kenyan ladies get together.
@IjeomaKolaYT3 жыл бұрын
I didn’t qualify for Medicaid in the US based on my income but paying $4000 out of pocket in Kenya including prenatal visits was cheaper than what my out of pockets costs would’ve been in the US even with insurance.

The problem is, i grt deathly ill (Heyperemisis Gravidarum) right from 5 weeks and need hospitalization etc. So i'm over it. I'm just done coz it has taken a toll on both my physical and mental health. The only good thing is i'm in a country where all my healthcare is free.

@ijeoma ,can you atleast speak naturally like Shiki does ? It is so ears irksy and annoying to hear the coerced accents . Everyone knows that even after living in the USA or any white owned country ,the culture will attach itself to you but good gosh you have return to the beautifulllllll motherland now please speak normally. Why are we on here suppressing our African tones and tongues speaking nasally to appeal to social medias ears . Be yourselves and be be authentic all subscribers will like you when you do so . These nasal white girl twanging and sounds is so harsh to the ears . Do better and stop suffocating your accent, colonialism of the physical is over ,it is time to undo the mind.
