The Christo-pagan work that Raelle and Willa did is powerful. I remember someone saying it wasn’t Christian when it clearly is. The scripture is Matthew 7:7 Willa recites. Her healing was so powerful, that she gained a lot of status in the military for saving so many lives. Every unit wanted to deploy with unit because she was that effective as a healer. The one person who could have saved her life, Raelle was unable to. I hope they will have a scene next season where Raelle will use the candle at Samhain. This time, Willa WILL be there. A part of me wishes Willa would have somehow survived.

It's not that the Mycelium isn't powerful. The Witchplague is the only thing that is stronger than it. That's why that's the only type of death that the Mycelium can't overturn. All it was able to do was fight the plague to keep Raelle alive for as long as possible.

This death scene made me wish they had spent a bit more time showing Willa's inner world. Like...she mentions that she regrets joining the Spree but I didn't get that impression when she was sending threatening balloons to Scylla. I just wish I knew Willa a bit more. This is a beautiful scene though. So glad she went out protecting her baby girl. :'(
