I just use a regular car wash like the mother's 3X car wash, easy to maintain. I still dry it with a waffle weave towel and that's about it.

no this is all you need, you don't need to add anything on top! Yes I washed, clay bared the car, polished out any swirls to perfection and then added the CMX.

the best protection will be traditional, this is more of a silica spray and I am guessing you can expect around 6 months out of this before you need a respray. A true ceramic will last years!

When considering a ceramic coating one needs to ask does it do these two things, 1) Does it have extended hydrophobic properties past what a spray wax would have 2) Does it have hardening capabilities to protect the paint from scratches. The answer on this, Megs and Adams spray “ceramic” is no they do neither, so that makes this a spray wax, so why would you want to pay more money for a spray wax just because the put the word “ceramic” on the label. The human brain is an interesting thing.

Most of these videos are with brand new cars that pretty much bead water and shine because they are new . Spray waxes are great but not a single one protects the paint from anything other than UV ( maybe) and bugs .

no issues at all, think of it as dust, you could blow on it and it would go off of the car. Simple to remove.

blow if off worked but I came back with a light pass of a microfiber and it was all gone, it blows off like dust. It's very easy to lay on a layer, every 24 hours just put another light layer on. I left it in the garage for a whole week so it was simple putting another layer on each night after work.

If I am truly going to try to do it the best I can I would strip off any pre existing wax with some Turtle Wax Max power car wash or something along those lines. I think if you want the best long term results you probably want to do it but I am sure you could at least try to slap this over it. Still, if you want the best results.

yes I have, it's good but it's not a permanent solution. Not that mothers is either but it's much easier to apply with less work. Collinite is some of the best stuff out there, it's a win win no matter what.

I would say they are close for sure. The 303 you apply when the car is wet where this you just spritz it down when the car is dry so you can do it in the garage without water. I think in the end it's going to come down to longevity so only time will tell at this point.

Don't quote me here but I feel a true ceramic is clearly much harder and can take those bugs much easier than say a normal sealant! I know the CMX is just a spray on and not a true ceramic but it has to be worth something!

I have a suggestion for your "Will it foam" series. Hybrid Ceramic Wax in a foam cannon. The formula looks pretty heavy and it might be interesting to see if it applies protection any differently as it activates with the water from the foam cannon. Just a thought.

Just bought and used for the first time. I like it. I have a black 350z that really pops with great depth and shine after using the CMX. (I have been of user of Meguire's Ultimate Spray Wax for the last 3 years). Some complain that it won't last longer than 4-6 months, but it would be unreasonable to expect more durability for a product at this price point with this ease of use. I am pleased with it. My only gripe is that it doesn't smell particularly good, but that is a nit pick...

I didn't have any white spots. I used a damp towel to apply to the panels. That probably caused it to lay down a thinner coat. I will apply another coat anyway. This is much easier to use than wax. I prepped with Mothers clay bar followed by Mothers polish.

I used Jetseal and Butter wax by Chemical Guys. Amazing stuff and the paint is smooth as butter. Water just beads right off the paint. Ceramic spray coating not necessary.

From my understanding it's not just the water beading, but the "self cleaning" that coatings produce making maintenance washes and drying much much easier. Ceramic coatings also offer longevity in regards to protection. A regular carnuba wax where i live will only last a couple weeks before it melts off of the paint and needs to be reapplied. I myself can't wait to put a ceramic coating on my car. So far I've only been experimenting with megs hybrid ceramic wax which has mixed reviews.

Go with the true Ceramic Pro 9H and the shine will last for years but the hydrophobic effect will diminish as the years go by and NEVER go through a car wash, use water only! I've tried $185 35ml bottles of 9H and the cheap $30 ones are shit. The expensive ones will take hours to apply and it's alot of hard work, I've been there many times! The application process is 5-6 steps just for one section if you got the really thick stuff which equals to thick coatings, not like this spray crap.

Yes, you sure can. It will only help. I contacted meguiars and they said their ceramic spray wax would last up to a year if maintained properly and depending on the weather and road conditions you drive in. I plan on doing two coats a year and periodically topping with spay wax and keeping it clean with detailers and regularly worshing ma car. Just be sure to clay bar your car or wash it really well before your initial coat of the ceramic spray wax.

@@compacheo603 that usually occurs from application in direct sunlight or windy conditions. Apply panel by panel from top to bottom. Wipe off then buff with separate microfiber towel. Like do the roof then buff, then do the trunk and bumper and the back side panels, then one door at a time,then the hood ect. I use my garden hose at home. Just get a decent spray nozzle and it will work fine.

Love the video. The water repellent behavior seems better than the meg's hybrid on your mini van. Both looks easy to apply and for the prices, worth their values. If you ever get the chance, try out Gtechniq's C2V3. It makes everything incredibly slick. It's roughly $30 on amazon for 500ml but for the durability claims, gloss and protection you get, as well as how little you need to use, it seems worth it to me.

no, they blow right off, think of it like when you polish a car and you get that dust from the DA machine, same sort of thing. I only ever saw them on the panels next to the one I was actually working on so I would just lightly take the microfiber over it.

I applied this the other day and OMG I’ve never seen so much dirt and dust stick to my car , did I do something wrong , it attracts the dust like a magnet, back to turtle wax ice spray wAx for me

Mothers is much easier and quicker to apply. Now, for longevity I can't tell you yet as they were put on about 1 month apart from each other.
