I did just like you did, but after I did the whole truck I buffed it with my buffer with a clean dry buff pad..great video

I applied it how you just did on my Ram. Sprayed it on a cloth, spread it, let it sit for 2-3 minutes, then buffed it off with another microfiber cloth. Looks like glass

They recommend to use a prep spray made by mother's aswell,prior to the ceramic applications..24 hrs.in between coats..

I worked with alot of CERAMIC PRO products and can say they act very similar ,I used this to restore friends 84 VV golf and it came out like new. (I also compound and polished his car for the prep)I used an ablicator pad to apply it then gave it 30 seconds then wiped it off with a micro fiber. I highly recommend stacking this coating at least 3 times and it will last years not months. It says you can stack CMX every 24 hours if you have a heat lamp or space heater it can cut curing time in half .I like CMX because of how inexpensive it is. I did this in the middle of June. But have a garage to do this in

I used it like the way you would normally use wax. I treated the whole car then changed towels and wiped it down. It looks great. My grand marquis has never been so shiny!

Mother’s now says to apply with a foam applicator.
@EyeForKnowledge.4 жыл бұрын
No it doesn’t. It specifically says to spray it on a microfiber towel and wipe on. Wait a few minutes and buff with a clean microfiber towel. Says nothing about a foam applicator.
@chiroguy984 жыл бұрын
Steve Protoss go to their website. It shows a video of a guy spraying it on an applicator pad.
@EyeForKnowledge.4 жыл бұрын
Aj Bentley Not saying you can’t. Just saying it doesn’t say to. It does say a microfiber towel or “suitable applicator”. I assume that the foam applicator is the other suitable one. It just doesn’t say that. I prefer microfiber towels for applying products and hand application when doing any paint correction. The foam is a little rough.

@@EyeForKnowledge. Hi.. do you need to clay first or safe to use after washing?
@EyeForKnowledge.2 жыл бұрын
@@ianiskandar4165 if you have any wax or anything on the car, it needs to be stripped. Start by polishing any surface scratches. Once you’re happy with the paint, bathe it in alcohol. Will strip any built up waxes or residual polish. Then clay, then wash, then use the spray. I recommend a true ceramic coating before using this spray though. Then use the spray as a recharger. Or as a detail spray between washes.

Hello Would massaging it into the paint well would the results be a huge difference in depth and gloss then just wiping it on and letting it sit and then buff off? Cheers Julian
@EyeForKnowledge.4 жыл бұрын
Doesn’t matter. I spray it onto a towel, and wipe in straight directions back and forth until the area is covered. Wait a few minutes for it to haze up and buff out like you do a wax.
@dandansdetailing97554 жыл бұрын
I don't think it would make a huge notice in depth and gloss. I do understand your logic as far as instead of wiping on and wiping off quickly to work it until it starts to disappear then wipe off which is what they tell you to do on the bottle. I think that it certainly wouldn't have a negative affect if done correctly and not on a hot panel. Just my opinion
@OhCrapItsJimmy4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I noticed this too. I never had a problem w/ the stuff, only that it was hard to get the beads off sometimes - required elbow grease. I didn't watch any videos or anything, just read the bottle and followed the instructions. Then I checked out some videos on the stuff and nobody was using it right. Totally stupid.

I gave it like 5 to 10 minutes. Let that shit soak into the pores of the paint and then dry up a little.

Simple read the damn bottle and apply and remove according to the actual chemical engineers who designed and manufactured the stuff. I love videos for stuff you cannot find answers to, but how to apply any coating polish wax etc, read the damn container it comes in. Just like fools who try to tell you some cheap bolt on trinket from amazon will make you car get a lot faster or better mileage is BS, the engineers design cars to the point it takes money and engineering to improve them. the days of simple cheap bolt on's are gone with the 60's and 70's cars. Cars today are tuned and designed with computer models that takes 99% of the guess work out of designing cars.

I'm a little confused on your comment Joe veitch. Were you saying that I didn't read the Mother's CMX bottle?
@grsmith564 жыл бұрын
I just saw no need to make a video on how to apply CMX when the directions on the bottle make it very clear how to apply and remove the product. Just seems if folks read the directions they know all they need to know about how to apply and remove the product
@redpilljesus3 жыл бұрын
@@grsmith56 you completely missed the point of the video then. People who are in the market for a car wax aren't going to read the DIRECTIONS to decide which one to get.
