I've watched this 1,00 times just dissecting every detail I could... This visual is so subtle, yet breath taking in a way. love the last part of seeing yourself and it being projected on the tv! Great stuff, cant wait to see mothers in atlanta!

My friend and I saw mothers as an opener for Japanese Breakfast in a tiny room at my friend's school and this song was so awesome live and I remember they had these great visuals going on it was fantastic (mothers was way better than the headliner imo) and the and the lady that sings I totally do not remember your name but thanks for signing my record keep up the good work guys psyched for the new album

I saw them play 191 Toole in Tucson on tour for this album, there were ~200 people in the room and when they played this song not a single person spoke. Thunderous applause at the end.

Defective and invariable We are untouched by it Patrick runs a red light And I am in the back seat I am watching your mouth In her rear view mirror Pensive like a child My parents' Blazer, 1996 Six months And are you still afraid of my want? Sun hot on my eyelids I'm flinching but you pretend not to notice I am reading Sam Pink in your bed He says: "Living another fifty years seems impossible" Your eyes roll back And I think of babies born First scream into infinity And I am tired Heavy with sweat When I pull you out of your sweater Flinching with the awareness of a newborn

Fuck this is good. Their first album was my 2nd favorite album of 2016 (only after A Moon Shaped Pool), and I'm starting to feel like this new one is going to be my #1 for 2018. Love this band.

OK, I think I'm driving to Tampa from Miami next month just to hear this song played live. I feel like my life would not me complete without such an experience.

I was at that show. Certainly lived up to your expectations I imagine?
@hansmorgenstern54614 жыл бұрын
@@artifactsandfungus1424 I loved it! I was sorry not to hear them play "Hold Your Own Hand," and I got to tell Kristine as much, informing that song would have probably brought me to tears. "Well, maybe we didn't want to make you cry," she said joking.
@artifactsandfungus14244 жыл бұрын
@@hansmorgenstern5461 That's also a fantastic track. Kristine is so nice tho, and her artistic vision is much larger than the other bands Mothers gets associated with. I think their next album could really turn some heads, let's hope.

Aight I’ve had this on repeat for days. First off, I ask you all, what can I listen to that’s like this? Pandora can’t hang. Women in punk to me, enable for melodies to float over more creative and unique grooves. Like how the bass and guitar have created an intricate and beautiful setting that speaks all uniquely on its own. Would be different if someone was screaming without delicacy. Which is what I do in my band...
@STEREOMAN916 жыл бұрын
Curtis Buettner yo definitely give the band warehouse a shot. Both of their albums are great, but I actually never tire of their sophomore release “super low”

There is a group called Bluem, check out their Ep 'Picolina', my friend is the writer/singer, when I first heard Mothers I thought "I know where she gets all her ideas from" haha but she'd never heard of 'em. Well worth a listen.

This song seems very inspired by Blonde Redhead. They have quite a discography with a range of sounds, from post-punk to ethereal pop. This song especially reminds me of their song “In Particular”, id suggest starting with that song and album, and then listen to the album Misery is a Butterfly
