As someone with body dysmorphia (or at least someone who feels ugly a lot of the time and compares themself to others) this is very confronting for me. I'm glad Mothica and Kailee made it though. I was waiting for them to collaborate. People need to hear this!! 💕

I hope you can one day find it within yourself to fight your demons friend, i do not know anything about having body dysmorphia but i know how crippling anxiety and insecurity's can feel. As a kid my parents would atleast 3 times a week drag me out of my bed after they came home from the pub to confront me. with what they thought was wrong with me for hours on end. lately i have been taking leaps of faith in order to prove them and all the other voices in my head wrong and it's doing wonders for my confidence. Stay strong you probably are fucking awesome :>

I thought body dysmorphia was when you didnt feel like you dont belong in your body. I could be wrong. I think your describing is low self esteem.

Yep I’m 35 and have avoided having my skin showing for years the only thing that has started to change this is that I got 2 tattoos at the beginning of this year I hate my arms and legs the most but will finally wear short sleeves so i can see my memorials to my best friend and my mother who passed 4 days before my birthday I’m also taking amazing care of my skin now because of them lotion every day and regular exfoliation ❤ I really thought I’d be dead by now .

It took me *way* too long to get this one too! I took it at surface value, like you were looking in a broken mirror so of course you weren’t going to look good. I still remember the moment that I figured out what it actually meant, after way too many listens. I was on a walk, and I just remember stopping walking and thinking to myself “hey.. that lyric goes a lot deeper than I thought”

I grew up an obese kid. I was constantly told that I look fat, and they never realized the words they threw at me would affect me until today. Even during that time my weight dropped from 70+ kg to 57 kg in just a couple of months, I never realized about that happening to me until the day I went for a medical check-up. Weird thing was, when I looked in the mirror, in my eyes, what I was seeing was an image of 70+ kg me. I could not differentiate my body shape losing some kgs throughout these years. Mothica's songs are all hitting me to the core. Really wish her to be more successful in the future. ♥
