CELEBRATE THE LEGEND
Mothman Festival is an annual event held every third weekend in September that commemorates the 1966 Point Pleasant, West Virginia Mothman sighting, which gave birth to the infamous red-eyed winged legend. People from all over the world gather around our charming Main Street to celebrate their favorite cryptid during this one of a kind event.
VISIT THE WORLD'S ONLY MOTHMAN MUSEUM
Located in the heart of downtown Point Pleasant and adjacent to the famous Mothman statue, the museum is dedicated to preserving both the history and the mystery surrounding the illusive cryptid famously known as Mothman.
The Mothman Festival admission is free! There is a fee for the admission to the Mothman Museum. Lines there can be long and cash is encouraged for getting into the museum quicker and bring another 5 bucks if you want to try to get a hayride ticket. Cash only for hayride tickets..
There is parking along the streets prices can range from $10-$20.
You can get lucky and find parking for free but it is very scarce..

The festival is located in Pt. Pleasant right in the heart of Main Street usually between the 200-500 blocks. Once you come off of the green bridge into Point Pleasant, you will travel approximately 1 block and on the left side is the epicenter of the festival. It’s very easy to find. Just look for all of the people!
