This game has really aged so well, you can play it again and again and you will always have fun. It's a well planned, developed game, and the animation of characters is magnificent. @@GiovanniMejiaSantana They're carryover voice clips from the previous MvC titles, _Marvel Super Heroes_ & _X-Men: Children of the Atom._ Since MSH focused on the Infinity Gauntlet storyline, any characters who were in that game (and War Machine who is a palette swap of Iron Man) would have "INFINITY!" shouted before using a super. Same thing with Children of the Atom, except the announcer would shout "X!" for much more obvious reasons.

In the PS1 version, once you beat the game as MegaMan, you really do get Magnetic Shockwave as your new Hyper Combo. Morrigan is missing Eternal Slumber. One thing I found out when the game came out in the 90s is when you activate the Duo Team Attack with War Machine and Gold War Machine and have both do the War Destroyer, the sprites flicker badly and the game momentarily slows down. Must have been too much for the CPS2 to handle.

To Nothing in Particular; Shadow Lady is a special character, it's Chun Li after being part of the Shadowloo (someone please correct me if i'm wrong, it's been almost ages since I've followed that story). As far as Ryu, instead of having Akuma and Ken, MvC character development team decided to allow the player to (using a directional pad combo) change Ryu into a Ken inspired Ryu and an Akuma inspired Ryu. Fun stuff!

David another company was in charge of developing an Iron Man game or a game with his character and I guess Capcom either weren't given permission by Marvel to use him or chose not to use him themselves in fear of a lawsuit. Obviously, they were allowed to use him before in MSH and later in MVC2, so it just looks strange seeing as it occurred during the development of this game.

True story: as a kid I got the PlayStation ports and was disappointed with no tag team and you have to mirror opponents to be able to tag team due to ps1 ram limitations. This piss me off as it’s not even close to the arcade ports. I was so determined that I ask every neighbor in my area if I can clean their yard, mow their lawn. These took months to save up for a Sega Saturn and and the 4mb cartridge. I was living in Jersey at the time and had to take the subway, then the train to New York just to go to a video shop that sells Japanese video games. I bought marvel super heroes vs street fighter and x men vs street fighter for Sega Saturn along with the 4mb catridge. Keep in mind these were months in between. My mom was a single mom and could barely afford to do anything for us besides give us a food and roof over our head. It took nearly over a year just to be able to experience arcade port of these games at the comfort of my living room. Too bad marvel vs capcom didn’t come out for the Saturn. I had to wait about 3 years to get a Dreamcast after and luckily I got it for my bday. I still have my Sega Saturn and those two games just a reminder with determination you can achieve anything 😅

Hansen Sebastian I know Gen. Ross debuted back in Hulk #1 in 1962. But his Red Hulk-persona appeared first in 2008. Marvel vs Capcom came out during the 90s. So check your facts before you get rude.

I don't know if its just me and detail but man, loved how the hypercombos were presented when you performed em, from the character art that flew across the screen just before..... to not understanding what the hell they were saying while they were whippin' your ass... or even to them yelling "INFINITY!" ("X" w/ Wolverine) whenever the Marvel characters started their combos!!! Damn, nostalgia is a muthaf***a😢😢😭!!!
