Yeap, it's more suitable for teens than "Alien: Romulus".

So not only did I get to finally see a show from you guys that was the 20-ish year anniversary of one of my all time favorite albums... but they're now making new songs?! Someone shake me I think I'm dreaming

I hope this is the start of more music. MCS is my favorite band of all time and I was so heartbroken when they closed up shop. Glad to see that's not necessarily the situation. This song rocks and they've still got it all these years later. I wish they'd play MCS music on Sirius XM. I've never seen them on the stations.

Right? I took my son to see them and it was AMAZING! I mean, they ended up playing so many encores that we had to go ahead and go home because he was too tired to stay. Now this? I'm afraid that I'm dreaming.

As a 16 year old fan of MCS this video heals my soul. A band that goes on hiatus and then actually comes back? The 2008-style self-aware video? Cremé of the crop. Bro. I'm literally going "squeeee" right now.
@isenfirecat3 ай бұрын
I'm not even sure if the music video is officially associated with the band, but well done. It's great :)
@ajiththomas24653 ай бұрын
@@isenfirecat The band created the song "Stop Talking" and other music for the film _Didi_ , which is why the music video features the child actors who star in Didi. That's why the style and look of the footage gives mid to late 2000s vibes. Hope this helps. Also, having watched the movie Didi, it's really freaking good.

The smile this song brought to my face, right from the opening notes... I knew I needed more MCS, but I didn't know how happy it would make me when I got it.

I remember seeing The Future Freaks Me Out on FUSE almost 20 years ago and this is easily the most beautiful tribute to my favorite band. I am so happy to have them back.

Thank you... I felt like this came at a time when some of us needed it most. For those who grew up with Motion City Soundtrack, combining Didi, the coming of age story, the mid 2000's vibes, early social media, content creation, skating, punk, and of course Emo/Pop-Punk, this really brought nostalgia and simpler times. Never STOP ROCKING. 🤘

You said this best. As a first-gen Chinese-American who was a teenager growing up in the bay area in 2008, AND a huge MCS fan, I never knew I needed this song and video in my life. I've never heard of the movie Didi (which means younger brother in Mandarin), but now I need to catch it in theaters!
@ajiththomas24653 ай бұрын
@@bunnyyyyyyyyyyy Definitely catch Didi in theaters! I just watched it recently and as an Indian-American, so many of the family dynamics, relationships dynamics, the awkwardness of puberty and the immigrant experience, just everything really, hit so close to home. It's a great film that I'm glad I watched, similar in some senses to _The Farewell_ .

A band takes a hiatus and releases new music and it doesn't suck? Am I in the matrix?
