Thanks you for video! I'm excited! You told about simple things but it isn't simple for people which do motion design My favorite takes is about email getting simplification and «we cant sale our solutions because people don't know what is md and what md can solve»

Good luck on your journey, you can start with a simple spreadsheet for your CRM, but if you want my template using this structure you can find it in my course Client Quest. motionhatch.com/client-quest Hope that helps!

Thanks for the information. Reaching out to people who have shown interest in your work in the past. This is my takeaway. Often times they are forgotten. Also they can forget us. Catching up with them can open ways to new projects. Thanks.

Reaching out without making it feel like soliciting....must crack that one out first.. :)

Absolutely using a CRM will help you to know who to keep in contact with.

If you've worked with them before I think doing a friendly check in is fine. Just personalise it as much as possible.

@@MotionHatch It's all about how you say it. I think you once gave an email example that felt smooth. Gotta find where that was again, I can't remember how you articulated it..

Only 2mins in but I don't think the problem is our websites. Its getting the clients to the website in the first place. Whether its outreaching or making post on LinkedIn / socials etc it feels obvious but to get clients attention ain't easy. In my experience i feel the bigger picture is in past 2 years, agencies have less money, brands are building internal teams to be more resourceful and not rely on expensive agencies. And because motion design is less of a niche now, and companies are being tighter with budgets there seems to be more opportunity for fulltime over freelance.

Lot's of CRM software advices, but not much information HOW TO. Subject to do here. I bet there's lots of ways to do it for a solo freelancer.

You're overthinking it. All you have to do is find a niche and dominate it. I don't even have a reel but I'm swamped with work. It's because I identified a market and made myself indispensable there. If you have something that people want, you will get work. If you're just churning out generic School Of Motion style work, you'll go hungry. Be original. Be creative. Figure out what people want and give it to them.
