Their lyrics are always so deep and intense. Chris is an amazing writer. He pours so much emotion into the lyrics. Motionless in white has been my favorite band for many years.

immaculate misconception, reincarnate, eternally yours, another life, voices, cyberhex, catharsis, rats, 570, abigail, disguise. these are just a few of my all time favorites, immaculate misconception has a very big meaning to it, it very much gives heavy metal/“metalcore”, theres some softer tones in there but for the most part even in his screams you can put together what the message is that he’s trying to put out there. it’s very old motionless in white but i love them so much. i just saw them in concert and chris’s voice sounds extremely similar to the music videos and non-live performances. Their music is probably one of the best that I listen to and any song you react to will be great. (in my opinion)

Your analysis was SPOT ON. There’s a running theme throughout the album that spreads across 5 tracks (including this one), where he’s battling the darker part of himself, trying not to succumb to it, and even burying it in order to be reborn. In my eyes it explains why only half of his face burns, because he’s only trying to kill off the evil he sees within himself. I think as well that you hit the nail on the head when you talked about the line “If I can’t have me then no one can” and how it’s almost schizophrenic. Because he’s fighting to regain control of his own mind and feels that if he can’t get himself back into the drivers seat, then he no good to anyone.

MIW is my favourite Band! Not only this Song is 🔥but the whole Band is amazing! Chris can really do it all. His voice is different. You really should check out more of them. Motionless is raw man. Been listening to them for over 10 years and they are always coming out with new music. I give this band a lot of credit for making it out of the time period that they started in. A lot of the bands they started touring with that first didn’t end up making it and most of them split up. 10 years? 10 more!

Motionless in White is Amazing! I’ve been a fan for years. Saw them for the first time in 2007 at Warped Tour and I was hooked! Masterpiece is definitely one of their softer songs. Definitely check out Devine Infection, Abigail, 570, Soft, Thoughts and Prayers , Devils Night, Slaughterhouse! Chris is a lyrical genius he puts his heart and soul into every single song! Very good reaction Chris Motionless has a history of putting songs out about inner confliction, along with making sure everyone knows their not alone, just a lot of really great meaningful lyrics. Their song Disguise, Voices, Another Life are great songs. I havent heard a song by Motionless In White I didnt like though(Reincarnate, Necessary Evil, Thoughts and Prayers, Abigail, Creatures, AMERICA, Cyberhex just to name a few are also great songs). Oh damn, Motionless in White is in my top 2 most fav bands with Rammstein, theyre absolutely wonderful!
