And I understand the concept of music being "heavy" without being balls to the walls, but this still isn't heavy lyrically. It's typical goth inspired lyrics with butt-rock verses and choruses. If you dig it that's fine, but it's a rock album. If you think this is heavy then apparently so are 3 days grace and breaking benjamin because it's the same caliber of stuff. Been following these guys since about the Creatures era. I prefer that sound. Hell even reincarnate had some ballsy shit on it.

I remember when this album came out I just played over and over Disguise, Code and Another Life and never reached the bottom of the album. 5 years later and I decided to give a listen to MIW albums again from the start and when I reached this I couldn't stop playing this over and over. Am I the only one who gets muse vibes. The bass lines, the piano, Chris’s high vocals towards the end? The bass line at the beginning and end and the drums during his high vocals sound like time is running out. He even says one of their songs in the lyrics, sing for absolution.
