It still doesn't have 3d printed torpedoes and working guns so what's the point. We need to design a simple 3d printable le or purchasable rc submarine and laser torpedos ir depth charge system or some way to let the submarines and destroyers battle it out

Getting the speeds scale is the tough part. I scratchbuilt a 5’ LOA model of the Bismarck with twin screws that moved like a destroyer. Fun, but not realistic. Then again, had it been realistic it wouldn’t have been fun to use… 😂

I watched men having fun with the rc boats they had built themselves, sometimes out 3ply wood. They must have treated the hulls really well. When they lifted the hatch to put in batteries you could see the bare wood inside. None of them were to the same scale, the speeds were interesting and very varied. There were a few warships which just puddled along.

How to have firing guns which can damage other ships? Also torpedo attacks, holing other ships and sinking them? It all seems a bit unrealistic unless you can have battle damage and sinkings.

@@AugmentedGravitywell, most of big companies are worldwide now so if you work in one and know a US colleague it may possible to goes through this colleague. I did this for items coming from Asia with a former customer. Wish you the best

Not quite as bad as if you got from one of the few sites that do custom work. These are less than 2K and mostly closer to 1k. Where I can find comparable pre-made don't expect to pay less than 3k plus(and many are more like 5K). If you can find someone still making them. Though in those cases I will admit you will typically be looking at rather nice custom work but still.

@@p35flash97yes, it is 100% a Kongō class and in fact, it is the IJN Kongō herself. You can tell her apart from her sisters by the way the pagoda tower is built. Kongō and Kirishima both had the most similar loking pagoda towers (Haruna had a protrusion from the top of the pagoda and Hiei had a more cone shaped pagoda). The major visual differences are at the base of the pagoda and the very top of the pagoda. Kirishima had a more 'solid' base wheras with Kongō you could see theough it as it was supported by mostly beams and not actual plates in the rear. The top of the pagoda tower for Kirishima also ends at less of a point and is more trapezoidal from the side rather than the triangular 'point' that Kongō's pagoda tower comes to.

Well, in this case you can show it. It is for historical accuracy ( model diorama ) so it’s got nothing to do with advocating for the nazi party. KZbin just censors everything nowadays so people would rather play it safe and not show it. As for the rising sun flag, sure it’s illegal in some countries & raises eyebrows. But unlike the nazi flag designed for the nazi party by Hitler himself, the rising sun flag has been around since the 1600s and had nothing to do with ww2 Japan’s imperialism. If we want to ban the rising sun flag for being imperialistic then we gonna have to take a look at the Union Jack , France’s flag & the Hammer and Sickle as well, amongst many others…

When designing a ship they use to make 100's of small models like this just to test the best shape for speed, stability ect, its all done on computers nowadays, shame this would have been a great job, the longer the wave down the length of the boat the faster it would be, you can see it working here

I love this . I have a buddy who built a Bismarck, Yamamoto, U,S,S North Carolina. His guns shoot steel bbs . He’s an engineer. Yes he’s retired Navy he was a Sea Bee . Yes after 30 years of service and his retirement job he works for Tennessee Valley Authority. Yes we’re in Tennessee. We are American and yes dude had river front property lol. When he lets the grandkids play yeah they do mock Naval Battles lol

I’d to tie several of them to a float and pull my Boston terrier around. She is an absolute mini pitbull, and gets really pissed when being pulled in a buggy or the back of a truck etc. she would launch and attack one of the boats. 🛥️ she nuts! It’s like the U.S. Captured the Kraken and the kraken gets rowdy! She does this to my RC trucks being pulled in the buggy. She knows what I am doing and I now believe she plays the part. She growls at the truck while driving straight and once I turn, she attacks. The truck is bigger than her. I’ve got to do this in water.
