Absolutely LOVE this ball! This ball gives me some severely strong roll hook which lets me play another section of the lane when I play in leagues. Such a fantastic ball to throw!

I like this ball when the lanes break down a bit. I would say the 2nd & 3rd game is when this ball really comes alive. This is my 3rd motiv ball and I really enjoy it. 687 the first night out with it.

Good review, once again agree with you and wish Motiv was a bit better at placing equipment in right slot on their chart. In fairness not an easy task considering different reactions from different surfaces and bowlers. However I do find myself depending more so on feedback from bowlers with Motiv equipment and not as much the ball guide. What I've seen from the villain is a smooth, predictable reaction. I'm setting mine up 65x4x45 I think I will be happy with how it rolls. I am curious to see what surface I end up with on mine with minimal adjustment to my VSP it became really good for me at 4K with Motiv 5000 polish. I'm not usually a big fan of polish but with Motivs heavy rolling characteristics it seems to just calm the midlane for me without making it jumpy downlane.

Thanks! Even though it starts at 3000 LSS, all balls lane shine pretty quick. And I think this strength cover lane shined will be really nice. I always felt like the Forza SS cover felt too strong for the core or the average THS so polish felt like it made more sense. I don't feel the same way at all about the Villain.

Okay...so I'm a left handed two finger bowler with a decent avg of around 150. I just got this bowling ball two weeks ago and hardly had time to practice with it. Do you have any suggestions as to how to throw this bowling ball? I noticed that it generates a massive amount of hook.

Sadly no current Motiv balls rolls like this. Pride is the closest but I don’t think it’s close enough.

History lesson was a bit off; the C51 used the Cruel core, which was a .060 dif, .030 int. diff.; the Sinister core made its first appearance in the 2Cruel, then again in the Cruel Intent. Great video, though. I really like your videos; I watch every one of them. I especially like your "shots that didn't make the cut" segments. Very well done, including the commentary.

Thanks, you are correct. They tweaked that shape to get to the Sinister core. I was looking at it from the core shape perspective and forgot the first one wasn't called Sinister. Thanks for watching!

Hey Tamer, What ball do you think would fit as a benchmark/ first out of the bag on a medium league shot? Specially for a high speed 2 hander around the 600 rpm range. With all the releases I kind of get a bit confused. Thanks for the help!

Which ball would be better the villian or the venom shock pearl
@TamerBowling
@TamerBowling 6 жыл бұрын
BullyBrian 82 they are pretty different. The villain looks to be a very versatile benchmark with more aggressive motion. VSP is a great ball when looking for a symmetrical benchmark look that’s a touch cleaner than the venom shock. VSP comes off a bit more rolly.

What is the most predictable ball for a speed dominant player? (19.5 MPH and 350 RPM)
@TamerBowling
@TamerBowling 6 жыл бұрын
Loaded question but this ball is very predictable. The Gamebreaker balls are very predictable as well. IQ Tour as well. Middle of the road solids...
@NormanKahler

Do you usually drill your solids pin down to create that more smooth curve motion? I ask because I was given a 2011 Marvel which is a solid (R2X solid I think). I had it plugged an redrilled with the pin directly right of the ring finger. I struggled to figure out how to use the ball. It would often roll out and have no energy at the pins. I showed a Storm Staffer and he said because of that layout, the weight block would have a hard time working (he explained it better). Now I'm considering a 2nd redrill possibly pin down because of plugs are in the area of my usual layout (pin up and to the right). Thoughts? Ball is in pretty good condition overall.
@TamerBowling

NormanKahler the pin position you describe is typically a very strong position which can have the ball feeling like it’s just done too much. You could go pin up or pin down but I would try to have a pin to pap distance of 4.5” or higher to allow the ball more lope to store more energy.

TamerBowling okay, thanks for the advice. I was told the ball is comparable to the Idol so it may be a cheaper option for the time being to get it redrilled.

Can you compare the Villain to the Phaze 2?

Jeremy Lee Villian has better down lane action where Phaze 2 reads a little bit earlier overall Villian hooks more

I am looking to finally update, and add a ball to my arsenal. I have been using the Storm Invasion for years. It is a solid ball, but I feel like it is losing the edge it once had. If you remember the storm invasion would you recommend this ball to drive threw the mid lane in oilier conditions? I average 15mph and around 370 revs for reference.
