Cotto was never the same after that first Margarito fight. I was a fan of Cotto, but it was only after Margarito was exposed as a cheating fraud with Mosley that I understood just how much of a warrior he was during that fight against Margarito and his loaded gloves. Margarito was a cheating coward and should have been permanently banned after his loaded gloves were discovered. Loaded gloves should end your career because you are putting the other fighter's actual life, future health and mental faculties, and their entire career at risk to give yourself an unfair brutal advantage.
@williamblackfyre48662 жыл бұрын
Margarito should have been arrested for assault with a deadly weapon. People die in the ring without loaded gloves. I remember when this happened. I was very young and was still in middle school/elementary school. I’m Mexican so naturally we rooted for Margarito, but also liked Cotto because he’s from Rhode Island. We noticed towards the end of the fight that Margarito was fighting a bit too good, like one body shot or hook to the cheek was like taking a shot from thanos. Then we found out about the illegal hand wraps, and next thing you know, we were celebrating Cotto beating the absolute SHIT out of Margarito! Karma is amazing

Neither of these fighters are in their prime, just because they are in their early 30s doesn't mean that they are in their prime. Prime years is when the fighters are at their best, Thurman was not at his best, neither Broner was.

Pacman was concerned for Margarito when he was beating Margarito's face to the pulp, when I catched a glimpse of Pacman was looking at the referee calling for it to end the round, the referee didn't bother (or probably didn't see it) to end the round and it got Margarito suffered, like a patient got failed to perform a botched surgery on him until the last round. Pac was also holding back for the last 2 rounds for Margarito to be left standing up.
