One of Benavidez's strengths that i never hear anyone mention is the way he turtles up behind his gloves and soaks up all the punches. His hands are so long that he can protect his face completely while still protecting his liver and body. He just stands in front of his opponent with his guard up, and they are unable to hurt him.

Canelo has more power and better defense, he is the master of walking his opponents down, those that beat him did it by staying at range and limiting his counter opportunities, Benavidez won't be able to do either of those things against Canelo. He will try to walk Canelo down and will sooner or later end up walking into a counter that will hurt him more than he's ever felt, and I doubt he'll have a plan B after that. That's assuming he even gets through Andrade, I doubt it will be as easy of a fight as most of his fans are making it out to be.

He fought Caleb who had just fought canelo. He couldn’t knock out plant. It was a close fight 7 to 5 for David against plant. Canelo beat callum smith, Saunders, plant, ggg, Ryder, charlo. He beats David. Stoppage. Mark my words. 9 rounds. And he’ll be 5-3 canelo before the stoppage. Canelo is still on his own level. Not like David who bully’s the smaller opponents

But he declined a lots from Bivol fight; we all can see he couldn't stop Charlo (who is 6kgs smaller than him). Beside; Bena has a physical advantages like: long reach to cover all body shots; stamina (and Canelo has a very bad stamina; start feeling tired at about 8 or 9th rounds); speed; power( maybe less than Canelo) and very underrated defense. Assuming; Prime Canelo>> Bena now but in 2024 i think Bena beat Canelo by decision 115-113

Thank God the ref was on plant side and was allowing him to hold all night and he was on the ring ropes falling the second half of the fight and also the ref stopped the momentum several times when David was about to knock them down again I counted at least three possible knockdowns that the ref helped out and gave plant time in the corner and also in the middle of the rounds! If you seen the fight be realistic damn it!!!😂😂😂😂😂 even the commentators were like what the hell is this guy doing let them fight and also thought it was his worst performance as a ref😅 plant would have been out early
