So cool! The ideas and creativity are almost more exciting than the car, itself. I never thought about it but I guess it makes sense that the same car could have so many different liveries. Very cool to see people buying the old cars and continuing to rebuild, maintain, modify, and race them.

Love this type of car. The level of engineering (available tech aside) is top class even today. But best sounding car I've heard was a 3.0 busso v6. Amazing.

The Busso V6 is great sounding, but the Nissan VQ series ranks right up there.

@@hoost3056 The Busso V6 is generally regarded as the best sounding V6 that exists. Much in the same way the Lexus LFA is praised as one of the best sounding engines ever made.

I can only imagine the amount of time spent in a wind tunnel to create that bodykit! Brilliant video explaning it Andrew! I wonder just how much HP this thing would produce without the restrictors 🤔

Actually not that long. The wind tunnel guys are very smart they may only be in there for 2 hours before they know what to do next. But maybe it wasn't that easy when this car was actually built 🤔

This is the coolest feature you have done for aero if u ever get to a chance to do this for any other race cars like gt3, tcr etc would be sick

Keep up the great quality content!It would be very interesting to know the air speed at those intake restrictions vs the air speed at the bell mouth plus the pressure differential. I love the refinement in tuning with resonance and just that level and that dedication to peak performance explains why they were so good to watch race. Also I’m curious ho much pressure do they develop in the plenum at speed? engines intake air speed far exceeds road speed so would the front air dam and trumpet’s at 200kmh really make pressure at wot or is it just easing off the choke from the restrictions and better transient throttle? testing the ram air effect on a dyno that would make good viewing!

What a great piece of custom engineering. I’m still cut over the end of genuine Holden and Ford racing developments. Good bye to home grown automotive engineering. Part of my soul died when Ford and Holden closed along with the joy of Aussie Motorsport tuning progression. Apparently no one was buying performance Aussie cars, if that’s the case why are we all still buying and building imported performance cars. So all We want is a 4x4 dual cabs, yeah good one, haha!

@ 11:45 he meant negative pressure ducts were disallowed in GT300, and not GT3? GT3 cars generally have negative pressure ducts on top of the wheel arch I mean

So the whole car is a silhouette frame? Are 2003 the last time JGTC still retains the occupants compartment of the road car they were racing?

A 265/35 R18 street tyre would have a sidewall ~93 mm high, and an overall diameter of 643mm. Only about two and a half inches in overall diameter smaller than the 270/710R18 front tyres fitted to the race car. Fitting them would lower the car about an inch a quarter. Interestingly enough those racing tyres are taller than typical, usually a 270R18 would be a 680 height, an inch and a bit smaller in overall diameter.

Interesting, question though, if one of the main aims is to get rid of turbulent air on the wheel wells why did they go away from closing off the wheel wells externally?? We have all seen the old rx7s etc with covers blocking the wheel well from the outside.

Breather tank. Cable ties as inspected and checked after each run. Oil tank is inside the bellhouse.

Anyone can advise on the single middle wiper arm blade? is this have an specific p/n? Doesn't look to any of the oem wiper blade arms...I would like to do the conversion on my track car and this looks perfectly straight in the middle of the windscreen......

They're generally not sold. NIsmo doesnt let them go into private hands often. It's more of a "if you know, you know" scenario
