Thanks for the support. been a long road. The turbo tapped put at 900 on 2.6 and would do same on 3.2 but less boost. The back pressure is high at that power and not worth the stress on the engine while were testing parts. G45-1500 will take us past 1100hp piece of cakw

This is pure gold. :) Broken dyno, record rain fall, fall and winter here, but somtime, I will log the airflow from the VE table in the Haltech. Importing this to a excel spreadsheet, converting it to lb/min on the X-axis and the "MAP" in BAR out of the turbo on the Y-axis, one should get a curve to draw on all compressormaps. Should be way more accurate than turbocharger speed. :)

@calvinstraveldreams2 ай бұрын
The thing is that I think the RB26 block is better for circuit racing/time attack (due to being of shorter height and lower CoG-as well as having higher rpm potential which results in smoother power delivery at a given level of boost), whereas the RB30 block is better for drag racing (due to higher horsepower potential from larger displacement (longer stroke))…assuming both blocks are made of the same material (cast iron or billet).

Nice, but this video left me more confused should I just replace my 1JZ block to 2JZ. 😂 Your videos about RB26 have previously confirmed that I will just want high reving short stroke engine with G35-900 that does make the rising powerband like "NA engine", not that instant kick what just causes wheelspin etc.. Hey Andrew, I’d really like to see how the G40 turbo acts on a 3.2 litre engine like your car. There’s absolutely no data or videos going around to see spool characteristics and power output. I’m leaning towards a g40 or a g35 for my Audi 3.2 vr6 build as I have the g42 and it’s just way too laggy especially on a vband manifold. (Would have to make an adjustment on manifold or change if I go g35 though). Would love to hear back from you. 😊

Intro got me pumped. I got the same dilemma, except its a BMW motor. I have a 2.5 liter, and what you do is swap over the 3 liter crank and pistons from a much newer motor, it all fits. I have a 330i (3 liter motor) sitting on a pallet with a blown headgasket i picked up for next to nothing. Just wondering if its worth it. They too suffer from the harmonics issue you see on other cars.
@johnsnow52393 жыл бұрын
Sometimes the harmonics can be sorted with a full balance, ATI damper and use an electric water pump. Often mechanical water pumps cause harmonics at high rpm. Just speaking from experience with a 3sgte and an old a12 Datsun.

4:50 - Should have just gone the the Nexus R5 at this stage - much more capable than the Elite 2500 and it gets rid of the BOX HELL of expanded can and slow i/o over can. The i/o boxes don't have any high speed capability for traction control, torque management input and so forth. Maybe Haltech and an Autoelec can come together to showcase the benefits of a Nexus R5 on this build. I ditched my Elite 2500 for this purpose and I'm using another Nexus R5 for another Supra Build with transmission control. My only gripe is that there's no PNP harnesses yet but you can re-pin an elite 2500 harness to suit Nexus in around 1-1.5hrs and double check the work is done right.
