I got a book that has the guitar both six or twelve and bass tabs. That book is twelve years old. I will check the copy right though because Dr. Feelgood came out in what??? 87? 88? Go to music stores. They can order either sheet or tablature for you. I learned to play a lot of songs by getting sick of listening to them and matching the natural movements of the compositions themselves. So... anyone can fret strings. Fretting and bending is no big deal. What makes a musician is feeling the song if it's someone else's that comes through or if it is your own does the emotion and energy come through for a good song. I will admit War Pigs for me was a hard song on guitar. It is not really pissed off and not really a good time but more of a "Fuck You! I don't care. way to play. As for this song you have to concentrate on learning that bass solo for sure in the beginning but the rest you can sit back and flirt. Guitar's a little different. Motley Crue and especially Mick Mars after the Shout at the Devil years then 12 strings and other guitars.

Super clean and a beautiful way to show an unappreciated element of this banger!

Thanks for tabbing this, man, I've always wanted to learn it. This melodic, pretty bassline seems way above Nikki's pay grade, as his playing was / is so basic. I wonder if there's any truth in the rumours that it was actually played by Mick Mars?

@bentleymurphree2164 жыл бұрын
YearLong Asnee come on, I hope you reach farther than this, this is probably the best for Nikki Sixx, but this isn’t what I would call a really hard bass line... yeah it’s got a good groove and it’s a good song. But take a look at some old school R&B, or Duran Duran. Or even some of the newer music like Justin Timberlake. It might not be the style of music you like, but that type of music is a bass players dream. When you can hold the groove down on some of that stuff, Motley Crue music isn’t hard to play... I played in metal bands back in the day, and would of never considered playing anything else. But I got some advice from a more experienced Metal bass player, and asked him how he was able to come up with these amazing bass lines that he was playing on their original tunes. And he told me what I just told you, it wasn’t my favorite music, but I started working on learning those bass lines, the started adding the techniques that I was learning from the R&B stuff, and it wasn’t long before some guy came up to me and asked me how I came up with the fills and bass runs that I was doing, and I gave him the same advice.. I’ll be honest if feels pretty damn good to have someone come up the bass player and not the guitar player and tell you they are impressed with your playing..

It isn't the bass man.. any good player can make any bass sound good. Keep practicing, don't get discouraged. I use all my spare time farting around on the bass for last 10 years. I can play anything at this point, and am recording my own material. Take it easy, man..
