I don't think the back vocals are live. Nikki only plays bass once in a while. I saw them from the front row and half the time he was not touching the strings. Nor did he sing background at all - it was taken directly from the record.
@antimurphy82122 жыл бұрын
@@derrickgraham6402 that's pretty insane to say that. I've seen Crue a trillion times. Can't say the backing vocals are live but Nikki did play the bass.
@1981CrueHead2 жыл бұрын
@@derrickgraham6402 there is an old video on KZbin of a fan trying to attack Mick Mars for not playing when you could hear the guitar parts but he wasn't playing. There is another instance during the final tour when Micks solo is playing and Mick stops playing and Nikki doesn't really get super angry at Mick, he just has this look like he's lost control of the situation. And then the most recent incident during the Stadium Tour when Tommy doesn't get to his drums in time and the drums start playing without him. If there is one thing that is always live about the Crue its Vince singing for better or worse, on this tour he seemed to better.

Im soooooo tired of the Corabi cheers If Corabi was sooooo GREAT with the Crue ....why didnt he stay and what didnt that CD sell more too...more importantly why lack of sales. Van Halen did it with Roth and Hagar and both sold very well. Dont get me wrong I really liked some of the songs with Corabi singing BUT it had a lot to do with Crue playing a LOT HARDER MUSICALLY so lets STOP giving all the credit to him singing when it was 3 other guys playing the music too
@w0bbl3r6 жыл бұрын
Brown Trout Well first off, motley have never and will never be as big as Van Halen. Secondly, the Corabi album sold like a million copies. For a band the size of motley, not in the mainstream, just replaced lead singer, that's pretty good. The problem was that the tour didn't sell as well, as people just weren't into it so much at the time, since people still thought of motley as an 80's band. They wouldn't have done so well on tour or even album sales, even if they had Vince in the band. As showcased by generation swine album and tour. The reason Corabi "left" is because the motley members met in secret with the label and their managers, and sold out. Crue became nothing but a shadow of their former selves at this point, selling out to label pressure, which is something they never would have done just five years earlier. If they had stuck with Corabi, I have absolutely no doubt that within another five years they would have surpassed their popularity in the 80's. But money and immediate fame won out. Again, something that would not have mattered to the real motley crue of the 80's. They all hated having Vince back, but did it anyway for money. Tommy left the band multiple times over the next ten years, and Vince was threatening to leave all the time. Mick mars just carried on playing as he always had, the silent workhorse, but he wasn't happy at having Vince back, especially at the cost of working with Corabi, whom he thought had elevated not just the band but his own playing. Don't be so quick to hate on Corabi; that album has some of the best stuff they have ever done, and definitely is stuff that they could never do with Vince. That's why Corabi still sings those great songs, but motley can't do them with Vince, as he doesn't even come close to having Corabi's range and talent as a vocalist.

He is getting old like everybody else eventually does.. I also saw the Crue 40 miles east of Columbus Ohio right off 70 east ,at outside facility July 26th 1987 Girls Girls Girls tour those are the only 2 times I've seen the Crue first concert they were glammed up , still rocking mother fuckers what do you think? 87 Biker atiar which I like better , they have aged like fine wine , although they had struggles disagreements, battled personal demons , physical issues pertaining to Mick Mars. Drug addictions Nikki faced death an returned , an Vince daughter passing away from cancer at 5 years old , God bless her rest in peace "Skylar." An living with the death of razzle in car accident , Vince I'm sure has that on his mind everyday , along with the loss of Skylar. An when he was going through that situation , none of the band members were there for him. Which years later Nikki an Mic & Tommy realized that. So yeah his voice ain't what it used to be, but he still rocks an so does the other 35 years this band went thru hell , some , was out of their control , an alot was self induced madness, but come on dude , after all the sick badass slamming fucking Rockin & Rollin music they have gave the world , that will never be wasted , And your gonna complain about Vince losing his voice ? Really liked Generation Swine. Along with other 200 people whom bought it on cassette back in 97 . However Sixx really should leave the vox to Vince !

I will always love Crue, but let's be real, Vince was a God awful live singer.

***** Say what? I''ve seen Crue live 4 times. No armchair here. He progressively got worse and worse over the years.

If he was remotely close to pitch perfect it would be a huge improvement.

actually have you ever thought about how hard their songs are to sing? I think he looks and sounds awesome!
@TheClownfight2 жыл бұрын
great footage and performance, thank you for sharing. Except on 'Shout'. We all know Vince can't and won't actually sing it... but this is the laziest performance I think I've seen. He hits maybe a quarter of the verse, and mostly screeches through that part. For years I have looked for a version of Shout where Vince sings the whole thing proper. Not sure it exists, but he got close at the US Festival

OMG!! FAKE backing vocals for sure here. And people gripe about Kiss doing it as they play in their 70s? Crue has been doing it for decades!

Opening song is the worst song they've ever made. Embarrassing. Vince should come with subtitles. 90% no one hears the lyrics.

Actually fun fact they are actually ambidextrous and used to play the videos left handed one day and right handed the next day to confuse the camera crew and quite a bit of the left handed footage was used in the videos
