I enjoyed your short insight to your family wiring and working together on your bike. Nice! I enjoy your content and and your presentations. Especially now that you decided on the V7 ii though iii would have been cool too ;) Honestly I think you stand alone in that you have a MG and are sharing it. Thank you! Your videos makes my dreams to own a MG that much more real. Cheers!

@@RarefiedRoad :) Sorry to ask this and I apologize if you already touched on this in your videos thus far, but how would you describe the power delivery/characteristics between the ii and the iii? I've seen your videos but don't remember. I would take one for a test ride but wasn't able to transfer my motorcycle certification/license to Germany. Thanks!

So glad to have found your channel. Great videos. I just bought a 2016 V 7 ii and have put 1,000 miles in the past few weeks. Curious where other v7 owners rpms are while shifting and cruising. I’m coming from much heavier v twins and seems the guzzi wants to hang between 3500 and 4,000 for cruising and 5,000 shifting. Is this what you find too?
@RarefiedRoad
@RarefiedRoad 5 жыл бұрын
Yeah I'd say that sounds right to me, although I'm pretty happy to hang on up to 6,000 before I change if I'm having a faster ride.

I fitted the Motone indicators to my V9 Bobber. They fit really nicely with the turn signal brackets meant for water cooled Triumphs. The plastic stock ones are a bit flimsy. Go ahead... they'll look great.

Love it. I have the same model with a stein dinse back. I also changed the shitty Pirellis to Metzeler and now the bike feels completely different and precise. Have you thought about going spoked wheels? I'd say it looks excellent on the Stone II.
@RarefiedRoad
@RarefiedRoad 5 жыл бұрын
I really like the look of a spoked wheel but I think they're quite hard to swap aren't they? My brother was thinking of swapping them out on his R100 and I remember him saying it was difficult to do if it didn't come with them originally.

Great video, given me a few ideas for my V7 Racer. Question re the under bar mirror: will the bracket fit on the bar between the brake reservoir and bars? or us it too tight? I'm looking to remove my bar end mirrors and just have one, but need to be precise as I've clip-ons and it'll be touch and go for clearance of the tank.
@RarefiedRoad
@RarefiedRoad 5 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I actually don't think this mirror will fit where you're wanting. It's larger than I thought it would be so there was no way of mounting it on mine under the bar on the inside of the throttle without having it touch the tank and limit the turning circle and I'd imagine it would be even closer with clip ons. As soon as you start to position it so that you can actually see behind you it takes up too much room. BAAK motorcycles do an under bar mirror though that extends a little further and mounts in the original stem from the reservoir you just need to flip it. Again though this is for the standard bars so I don't know if it will work on the clip ons but you can email them to check.
@CR1Xpix
@CR1Xpix 5 жыл бұрын
Rarefied Road Cool. Yeah, I’ve seen that mirror from Baak and hoped it would also do the trick. Albeit, I think it would put it a little too far under my arm so I would need to move my head a little more than I would like to see it. Always the same with underbar options though eh? Style over function.
