Very interesting . Thanks for posting as I was thinking of putting a chair on a MG Breva.

If you pull the seat back back slightly as you turn the key it unlocks a lot easier. I modified my seat bottom to make it easy to remove. I separated the metal bracket at the front of the seat bottom and then bolted the bracket back down. I fabricated a small plate with a screw mounted on it to the seat bottom where the original bracket was. The screw drops down in the hole in the top middle of the bracket bolted to the sidecar. A wing nut now holds the seat bottom in place. You can remove the wing nut without tools and lift out the seat bottom. With the seat bottom and seat back removed you get a lot of extra space in the sidecar. I can even put fishing rods down in the sidecar and install the cover hiding the rods and tackle. I mounted my Velorex 562 sidecar to my Honda VLX Shadow myself with good results. I fabricated a subframe that adapts the lower sidecar mounts to the motorcycle. I really enjoy my sidecar. I'm old and so no longer need worry about dropping it and other things that causes old bikers to give up riding.

Very interesting, thanks for that. Why I was having difficulty is because the rack was in the way and the key too short on the keyring. I put a second key ring on to 'extend' it. Easier now. Like what you did with the Seat base, will look into that.

Looks great! My I-Convert outfit has extra 150cc's (on paper). It does the speed limit plus some, but I'd still have to thrash it to keep away from motorway trucks! I'd rather settle in and relax with the old girl. Enjoy some touring when you can!

Excellent! Great Minds! I put in an order for a V7 Special, with exactly the same notion! Doing the sidecar selection research now!

Very nice! I just put a custom-built sidecar on my V7 II. Mine’s currently comparable to the Ural that I had last year with regards to freeway speed, but looking to lighten the load a bit by getting rid of the heavy cast Sportster wheel that’s on the tub.

Thanks, the comment notification I got shows you asking a question, 😁 how does it handle at high speed - and the answer is, OK. Main issue is the trail is longer, than leading links, so adverse road camber can be hard work sometimes.

It fit's your set up goes together nicely, interesting point you made about the Ural I was toying with the idea of getting one.

Very nice, good looking outfit, F2 are great to deal with. How does she handle very well I’d imagine.

No complaints. Steering can be a bit heavy sometimes as forks are not leading link so the trail is a bit long, at 107mm.

@@valvegeek I keep my eyes open for a set of leading link forks for my Bandit and Steib alike, I’ve been happy enough with the set up, yes it’s heavy at times but good enough for me to save the pennies, but too flighty without a damper so I’ve got a very bus one fitted. Carries two and all we need for camping, great in winter!

This looks great! Do you happen to know the setup specs? (Toe in amount, how far the sidecar wheel is leading the bike’s rear wheel, etc?)

Unfortunately I don't know, you will have to ask Dave Angel at F2 Motorcycles, who did it. 😁
