There’s a bit of gap between the front fork and the “head” where they mount the front lights which made it look a bit weird when you look at it from side view. Other than that it looks good and I’m sure performance wise people are going to like it.

I think Triumph are definitely leading the pack in regards to listening to what the riders are saying whilst also not sacrificing their own creativity. I now love the new headlights, I think people are way more likely to notice a scarier set of lights peering through the darkness at them. Other than putting a tail tidy, open exhaust (something like a Racefit) and maybe deleting the pegs, I wouldn't change much about this bike. Indicators don't look as shite as most manufacturers' indicators, bar end mirrors are perfect and it generally looks mean as fuuuuuuuuuuck. And, best thing about it, Triumph didn't follow most other companies and didn't raise the price whilst vastly improving the bike. If only I had an A licence, I would definitely be considering one of these. But an MT125 will do for now
@motobob5 жыл бұрын
Agree on all counts mate. I spoke to the guys at triumph on the trip and they do run focus groups etc. But also they built the new Rocket 3 which is pretty wild and not really the product of market research. So I agree totally - they’re doing both really well

@Kevin-vg5uw5 жыл бұрын
Nice review, I do like the bike and am pleased with upgrades, not sure why so many complain about no imu, a good châssis and suspension has always been good enough, now everyone wants rider aids, if you are a good rider not many bikes offer electronics that don't intrude, imu or not, so I for one am happy with the choice, if u want top electronics then you have to get something like the new s1000rr from BMW. Al Fagan from 44teeth will give a good perspective on the track part for the triumph

Agreed. He’s a hell of a good rider, as were a lot of the other lads on the trip. That’s why I didn’t want to comment too much on that angle as they’re best placed. But I’d agree that an IMU isn’t necessary on this bike. Just learn to ride it eh!

There's not a lot of difference in the spec from last years RS..same shock, same brembo m50's apart from the new styling and a up and down quick shifter (which I have on my GS 😎) there's not really much of a difference...I also think triumph need to give its customer's some nicer colours, I mean boring flat black and a older colour from the first RS albeit in a gloss finish, it's all a bit hum drum
@paulharrison81555 жыл бұрын
Agreed re the colours. Whatever happened to Roulette Green, Neon Blue & Lucifer Orange ? Triumph always did some fantastic paintwork on the Street & Speed Triple models but sadly not anymore. The alternative colour on the 2020 RS is matt black with lime green stickers just like they've done on the 1050 Speedy. Not good !

@VMKAROUND3655 жыл бұрын
So are you saying you can only understand a bike on track days and the miles you clock on the real road is useless?
@Pillokun5 жыл бұрын
@@VMKAROUND365 What I am saying is that a person that do not know how a bike feels at fast and slow speeds dont know how the bike handles. A bike is very sensitive to settings, like preload, rebound and what kind of tires it has. How can a rider that never experienced these kind of stuff have a clear verdict on how the bike handles/behaves. For example many, even pro moto journalists have said that the new line of Bonneville bikes were modern bikes in classical clothes yet when you really ride it it does not even feel comparable to a modern bike like a st3, mt09, sd790 and so on. In this case it was to make good PR for the new Bonneville line of bikes but a experienced rider will say similar stuff about a bike not because of making good PR but that he simply is experienced and doesnt know any better as he only has ridden on the street.

I'm sorry to be negative, but if that's you riding the bike, both track and street, you look quite tentative about it. I like to hear about and discuss design, but I want to hear about the suspension, power, steering, braking from someone with significant riding experience.
