I’ve done 150 miles on mine and I can’t wait for the run in to be over and the weather to be better. It’s a monumental step up from my Trident.

Jumped from a 2017 765RS to a 1200RS and I couldn't agree more. The street is a literally perfect road bike. I love my Speed. I love it more and more every time I go out on it but its a bit more grown up a little less exciting exactly because it just has too much power, you cant ring its neck otherwise you are almost immediately breaking the speed limit (or worse about to crash) in any gear, at any rev range you seem to have 2 seconds or much less to enjoy it. That said its probably for the best. I always more of a cruise around sort of guy and as I get older the more I am leaning into that. The speed is perfect for that.

"A parallel twin sounds better than a triple" anyone who thinks that is either deaf or is on day release from the asylum lol. I've had mine a week and can't believe it's such a step forwards from the 2020 model but what swung it for me was the colour (cosmic yellow).
@wl660 Жыл бұрын
He didn’t say parallel tbf - just twin. But I agree with your sentiments. The triples exhaust & air induction roar are great.

Worth updating to RS from the Trident? I wonder the difference between a 660 and a 765…is it noticeable? Noticeable enough?
@akaxe77 Жыл бұрын
Trident and RS?? Oh you’ll notice the difference for sure, any day of the week. Even the build quality will likely feel superior, let alone the riding experience.

Interesting and, I think, spot on comparison with the speed triple. I had an mt10, which was a blast of a bike, but a bit overkill for most applications. My xsr900 and tracer are sweet spot bikes. Doesn’t mean I don’t want a speed triple, but I think I’d have more fun with a street. 👍🤪🇨🇦

Shame we have to wait 6 months for delivery in Australia because Triumph and the monopolistic distributor here are that incompetent. Placed an order for a yellow, and a red turned up, now I have to wait another 6 months for "the next batch" (Sept). 1. Because Triumph are renowned for sending colours no one wants, nor ordered like they do in the Trident (Orange over Black). And 2. the distributor can't do basic inventory paperwork, while misunderstanding demand with now no yellows in Australia to buy for over 6 months. Muppets.
@YifengYin Жыл бұрын
Out of curiosity did you looked at KTM 890R? What made you chose 765RS?
@reddpill Жыл бұрын
@@YifengYin No I did not as I do not like KTM business practices. Having to pay extra to unlock built in features is not something I'm going to support because it leads to a social credit score system. The Triumph, out of the MT09SP, MT10 and StreetfighterV2 was the best featured bike for the money, rode the best and hadn't hit every branch on the ugly tree.
