I own a 79 CB650 as well... its a hadtail chopper... all original running gear but on a 70s santee frame with raked out front end with10inch over forks... put in storage for 14 years while raising kids... now slowly bringing it back to life... your bike is awesome

Carbs on mine have never needed any tweaking.. although I'm grateful I'm anticipating taking them out and rebuilding them, you can tell for sure they're alittle dirty.. requiring more warm up time than it should but still runs great.

Very nice, I've got one of these.. it runs and everything, original. Which is why I haven't done much work on it.. thing runs great it's hard to get myself to go start upgrading anything when it runs so well.i looked into don't the pods, had parts picked out but every guy I talked to that had them said don't even bother...

Beautiful. I own the same year cb650 and love the idea of black underside for the tank! I do want to know where you got a rebuild kit from for the engine! Don't think mine needs much but i would like it to be reliable again!

Try 4into1.com, they have all sorts of rebuild kits for older Hondas.

I've tried clip on bars, really didn't like them. I ended up getting something else I don't know how to describe.. first not original thing on the bike! But the clip on bars just couldn't give me a good angle I liked, not without changing forx and im not doing that although I'd like to convert them to modern damping system in same forx

Thanks mate appreciate it. Don’t have time to be working on my own bike or another project with the baby now, so been trying to take the channel in a bit of a different direction. Really enjoyed this one

Nice solid build👌 no Moto Bob project in the pipeline?

Not at the moment no, I’m afraid. Don’t get as much free time now I’ve got a daughter, and when I am free I’ve been enjoying spending the time keeping the channel going. Maybe some day though!

Lovely bike :) What exhaust system did you use? I have been looking for a nice 4in1 for ages!

Hey, nice job. Where you find your break and clutch lever ? It's adaptable with a stock front break system ?
