You have to compare apples to apples. If you take a V4S and add all the accessories parts that come standard on this, the price between the two bikes are largely the same. Then when you factor in the unique livery, the front race brake system, the bespoke helmet and jacket, and a couple other minor tweaks that are not available to the standard S even as an accessory, it’s actually better value for the money. However, that assumes that you are a buyer that would not buy a standard V4S and would have optioned it out from the start and also a buyer that finds Ducati as good value for the money - however you define value for you. I like it and would get one.

When prices go through the roof, just buy a Honda cb1000 Hornet. For the average road rider, you will get more fun. Yamaha MT09, or Tuono 660 will do it, also. For most of us, money does not grow on trees, and this is just crazy extravaganza.

You´ll always have more fun on public roads with a naked bike with superbike handles, no questions asked. But i couldn´t resist the urge to get another racer after forever myself, it´s just as much an enthusiast thing as driving a stiff sportscar. Does it make sense? No. But do i love it to death anyway. My 30th anniversary 916 at 45K USA money is more beautiful and a bargain considering they only made 500 bikes. Ducati has gone crazy 🤪. I will wait another year for the V4r 2026

First of, just like the 916 was this is as well the best looking modern bike money can buy you, by a long shot. And they may have produced only 500 of your particular edition, but the thing is, do you know just how many different editions they made of that bike? It is, and i´m not kidding, 171 different version of the same bike with a total production of 18.000 bikes and change i think. Ducati hasn´t gone crazy, they always were. And the people that payed them 30, 40, 50k for a bike have always been even more crazy. And yet nodoby can reasonably argue that they aren´t the best looking bikes of sooo many generations. And you don´t need a reason to want them, they simply deserve it. 😉

You might rightly whine at Triumph hiking prices by 5k for some special edition or even TFC. But they can't beat Ducati for slapping a nicer paint scheme and doubling the already steep price with no shame at all.

Class, just class. Detailing and a finish that no other manufacturer can touch. As engineering art, it's sublime. Everyone else is in the shade. £48k worth it? Probably not, but be thankful that they are holding the torch high and proud. Frontal pants area is damp again.

Rather get a used V4SP2 and get it custom sprayed still save a few quid, but people will buy these as collector pieces. You probably won’t see one in the road or track.

Literally the one single bike where even the crappy wings don´t look completely aweful and that is quite a feed!
