No Desmo Valves is huge for those worried about the reliability.
@GIGABACHI2 ай бұрын
DESMO Reliability (on late models) is not the thing to be worried about. Labor and Parts Cost it's the main issue BUT it's my creed that if you're planning on owning an Italian motorcycle that you should know already by default what you're getting yourself into. In my case, I perform ALL my maintenance and not having to deal with DESMO and/or timing belts is a plus *(Yes, thankfully this engine has timing chains too)*. I hope this engine has side sliding finger followers and the adjusting shims resting inside the spring retainer and directly over the valve's stem. That would mean not even having to remove the camshafts for adjustment and having to time everything back during assembly. I have said it before. They shouldn't abandon the DESMO valvetrain completely, as DESMO it's part of their identity. Instead, use only coil springs on your "regular" street motorcycles and save the DESMO for your very high end street and race motorcycles.

@RichDunnАй бұрын
@@Gary-r1o That was my point, the V4 with springs is just as reliable as the Desmo, but service costs are way cheaper (I've owned both V4 types). I must say the Desmo engines have more character and feel though, the springs are more clinical. I'd buy the 2025 SFV4S if it wasn't for the Desmo service every 15k.

They took the fairing off the 2013 panigale and chuck a bunch of plastics bits to make it look 👀 ok. sfv4 has balanced looks. This one is ground up meant to be a street fighter. 2. 120 hp with 177kg will give you a similar power to weight ratio as the previous gen, in fact it will handle better with the lighter wheels. 3. Better dash - hands down and tech. 4. Cruise control (wohoo) 5. You can fit 180 or a 190 at the rear as your like. ( not sure if the previous gen let you do that) 6. Longer service intervals 7. Exhaust on this looks much much better than the previous gen 8. Better brakes

What does this bike do better? It’s better for around town for posing? That light weight will get you tossed around on the highway unless you weigh 300 pounds.
