My 2011 yamaha cost me under £3k. With top box and panniers. It's smooth, fast, handles, my other half says it's really comfortable to ride pillion and it's only just over 200kg. The entire biking experience for half the price of Harley paint! I love Harleys. I always wanted an air-cooled sportster (definitely NOT a new sportster! ) but thought even those were overpriced.....

Why is it that as an American,I’m rooting for Harley Davidson to fail,but I’m rooting for Royal Enfield,a British/Indian company to succeed?! I find these bikes with their obscene price tags to be offensive. This is not American! These bikes do not represent us or who we are. I can never watch a review like this without feeling slightly sick. Royal Enfield on the other hand,speaks to me somehow! I really appreciate what they’re doing.

While I'm with you about Harley and their pricing, I've never wanted them, or any, company to fail, just because it's not the factory workers fault their CEO makes stupid decisions. But as soon as the current CEO said he wanted Harley to become a "bouquet" brand, I figured this was the route he was going.

It's sad what Harley has been going towards as a company. It seems to me like they're less interested in getting the widest market possible and getting new riders, and they're more interested in just being some kind of "exclusive" type brand. Which is an absolute shame imo. They're cheapest bike on the lot brand new won't get out the door for any less than 15k, probably more than that. They're not interested in making anything affordable

I'm not an American but my perception of Harley-Davidson was that they made bikes for the average Joe. Their prices indicate the opposite. I think RE is appealing because their bikes are accessible in terms of ease of riding as well as pricing. I would think that's how Harley should have been.

The Bars on my 2023 CVO Street Glide are absolutely terrible. At 6'4" I can't even turn the bike Without hitting my knees. How on god geen earth did the Harley engineers not consider taller people. They definitely need a taller bar options.

As a rider of 44 yrs and owner of a 2017 with 38k miles here are my thoughts. 1. Looks like a indian from the front. Whoever designed the fairing should be fired. Looks like a whale coming at you. 2. The extra crease in the gas tank reminds me of a Yamaha. 3. Different colored switch gear. Left side is Gloss black, right side is flat black. 4. Two different colored braided lines. Throttle cable is brass and clutch is silver. 5. Rear tailights are straight of a Goldwing. 6. The rounded bags look hedious. 7. The plastic parts below the fairings are going to flap in the breeze. 8. The amount of plastic on a $50k bike is pathetic. I honestly thought it was one of the ugliest bike I've EVER seen. So did the sales Mgr, the service Mgr and GM. Whom ever is running Harley design department needs to find another job. Harley as a company is a joke. All bike are over priced, dated before they are for sale. Would fire everybody on board of directors.

I guess so - it's more like an accessory part albeit a very expensive one. So it won't come from the factory, but the dealer will order it in and fit it. That's my understanding anyway...

The engine is the heart of a bike. It's a relic of the past which is why old people like them. The electronics are feeble, it looks gopping (though beauty is in the eye of the beholder) and costs a fortune for yesterday's tech. The biggest problem is the dreadful obnoxious noise and riders. I live in herefordshire on the a44 and every weekend lads and lasses ride by, the harleys are hated by everyone in the village and at Doms cafe down the road the riders are simply hateful old knows dressed up like the village people.
