Did you use the cdi that came with the engine. I cant figure it out. David told me to use it and the regulator but I cant figure out how to hook up the cdi cause the wiring isnt the same.
@MotoCheez4 жыл бұрын
I did not use the CDI that came with the zs190, but I thought about making an adaptor to see if it's any better. The regulator that comes with the zs190 is kinda small, I didn't use that either.
@gokrisgaming4 жыл бұрын
@@MotoCheez yeah I figured it out. He didnt know what he was talking about. There is no way to use the cdi unless you redo the whole harness to fit it. Also the regulator kept blowing fuses. I hooked it up to the one that was on the bike and it ran perfect.

Hopefully the oil cooler doesn't give you issues since it's an engine swap. I know a lot of guys that did big bore kits on Groms in the early days ended up destroying the engines because even though they had oil coolers, the stock pump wasn't strong enough to flow the oil through it. And it's quite strange to me that none of these bikes seem to have 5-speed transmissions out of the box, outside of maybe the (rather different) Kymco Spade 150. I mean, there's been a 5 speed kit for the Grom since year one, you'd think at least one of these clones would have something like that from the get go.

Agreed.. I'm keeping an eye and ear on temperature. May not use cooler at all, although I'd like to have it on the summer days
@InvidiousIgnoramus4 жыл бұрын
@@MotoCheez I would HIGHLY recommend it if it gets really hot up there in the summer. Honestly, these things should have all had oil coolers from the start.
