Motocross Coach Reacts To Dirt Bike Scenes In Movies!

I was on the Charlie's Angels set with my boy Trevor Vines, who doubled as "The Thin Man" the villain. Played by the guys that was the dad in Back to the Future. Super weird dude. Nick Wey doubled for the "hero" and I forget that guy's name too. Little Goose Gosselar doubled Lucy Lu. Andy "Regis" Herrington doubled for Cameron Diaz, and if I remember right, Trevor did a bit of that too. . My florida brethren Ronnie Renner doubled for Drew Barrymore. A host of dudes were there, and a bit of chaos ensued. Metzger got his ass chewed 'cause he was doing backflips on a pit bike while they were filming some dramatic speaking scene, as I recall. Regis and Vines had beef that spilled over a bit. Got loaded with Castillo and Hughes one night, that was fun. Track was pretty gnarly, in sort of a strip pit in the San Pedro side of the Port of Los Angeles. Had some fun jumps, but lots of solid obstacles to run into. Coolest bit maybe was watching them fire a KTM from an air cannon into one of the cement overpass supports. Good times.

My big thing with the scene from First Blood is that he was riding a Yamaha XT series bike, which is a four stroke lineup. They could've at least had four stroke noises that the bike would've actually made.

As a rule of thumb in movies if it's a 2 stoke it sounds like a 4 stroke, if it's a 4 stroke it sounds like a 2 stroke, If they feel like going crazy they sound like a street bike or f1 car. You'd think they would have some type of consultant to at least get it somewhere in the paddock.

Always wondered why they made movies with bike scenes and would dub in 2 stroke audio over 4 stroke engine bikes it never made any sense to me. Like if they wanted higher revving engine noise sure but just get the correct sound and dub that over to make it a little better. You already have the bike just record it going at different speeds
